PUMA Technology
For the waterproofing of buildings and infrastructure, RPM Belgium Vandex has developed PUMA technology, or a membrane based on PU-modified MMA. PUMA technology combines the flexibility and crack bridging properties of PU with the key properties that differentiate MMAs from conventional resin-based systems. Properties such as rapid curing and excellent processability even at very low temperatures, abrasion resistance, UV resistance and long service life. The PUMA membrane may or may not be combined with MMA coatings, depending on the application and requirements.
Even after application at -20°C, the PUMA membrane retains its superior crack-bridging properties and the system is fully cured, rainproof and drivable within an hour of application. This means that combined PUMA and MMA systems can be applied year-round, downtime or interruption of operations or waiting time between successive phases is very low, and rapid commissioning can be achieved which significantly reduces costs for users or owners.
PUMA systems are cold-applied, so no time is lost in heating up the products. They can be applied both manually and sprayed with simple equipment and sprayers. Curing times can be adjusted according to ambient temperature and site conditions. These systems with excellent adhesion properties can be applied to almost any substrate, such as concrete, steel, metals, asphalt, wood, or composite materials.

A very wide range of cementitious products and systems are available for structures in contact with drinking water or wastewater, as well as the protection and restoration of civil structures. New to the range are the DIN 19573-certified H2SHIELD - systems for the protection of wastewater structures based on PUMA technology or cement-based Vandex technology.

RPM Belgium Vandex has high perfomance cementitious and polymer products for public spaces. This both for the rehabilitation of roads, and the covering and accentuation of areas from a decorative or safety point of view.
MATACRYL READY REP IRONTEC MMA mortar is an installation and repair mortar for manholes and other connections in road or bridge decks. The system was already BBA-HAPAS certified in 2015 and has been used successfully in the UK for many years.
Cold plastic road marking products and road paints are available under the ALTECO-LINE range. A new concept among color coatings is a system for reflective or illuminated bicycle paths and suggestion strips.
