Urban Mobility Systems (UMS) from Oss has won the prestigious CES Innovation Award, an award presented annually to technology products at the initiative of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). In total, no fewer than fourteen Dutch tech companies, in various categories, managed to win a CES Innovation Award 2021. The jury - consisting of industry experts - judged on innovation, engineering, functionality and on the theme 'tech solutions for a responsable future'.
Recently, UMS was also named one of the 19 most innovative companies in North Brabant by Futurology Live. Urban Mobility Systems is a clean-tech engineering company, enabling emission-free construction machinery and mobility solutions. The company is very honored to have been chosen as one of the scale-up winners in the Sustainability, Eco-Design & Smart Energy category with its entry "Zero Emission conversion kit for construction equipment. The announcement of the award winners was on Oct. 14 during CES Unveiled at RAI Amsterdam.
At the CES 2022 Innovation Awards from Jan. 5 to 8, 2022, UMS, along with 69 other Dutch start-up and scale-up tech companies, will represent the Netherlands in Las Vegas. CES, which stands for Consumer Electronic Shows, attracts more than 170,000 companies and investors from 160 countries. In preparation, the companies follow a training program provided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Before the actual show, the organization traditionally awards prizes to a select number of inventions of "outstanding design and engineering."
UMS enjoys fame in the construction industry because of its cooperation with more and more leading machine manufacturers, for which an electric drive line is supplied. A whole range is already available. These include mini and midi-excavators, excavators on tires or tracks, compact wheel loaders, cranes, telescopic handlers, rollers and even an asphalt paver. The company has dedicated itself to developing a universal conversion kit for these, where safety, durability and reliability are top priorities.
Curious about the latest in this field? Urban Mobility Systems will be present on November 18, 19 and 20 during the World of eMobility exhibition, a new stage for companies active in the field of electrification. With several partners, customers and relations, UMS will have a large 600 m² stand in the middle of Hall 3 in EXPO Haarlemmermeer. There are several large and small electric machines on display, which construction contractors can use to make their businesses 'future-proof'.
Rijkswaterstaat is organizing several meetings for Thursday, Nov. 18, with officials from counties and municipalities, as well as major construction and infrastructure companies. To conclude, there will be drinks opposite the UMS booth.
