Develon has announced changes to its importer and dealer territories in the Netherlands to strengthen its market position. These changes are effective January 1, 2026, and will be jointly managed by the existing importer Anema and Staad, together with the newly appointed importer ELM Groep.
Based in Arum, Anema will continue to be responsible for the regions of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, North Holland, Flevoland and Overijssel. ELM Group, based in Waddinxveen, will serve the regions of Gelderland, Utrecht, South Holland, Zeeland and western North Brabant (west of the A27). Staad, based in Veghel, will be responsible for Limburg and North Brabant, with its operating area bounded by the east side of the A27 freeway.
Each partner serves its own region and is responsible for sales and service of Develon crawler excavators, wheel loaders, mini-/midi excavators, bulldozers and articulated dump trucks in their respective areas.
While familiar faces remain, the new structure allows importers to operate more effectively within their own regions, optimizing market coverage. This ensures faster response times to customers, as well as improved service and parts support. Importantly, there are no changes to the day-to-day operations for customers and end users.
Customers of all companies benefit from excellent on-site service services, from emergency repairs to routine maintenance. The companies' engineers have many years of hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment.
In addition to managing existing contracts, Anema, ELM Group and Staad offer flexible service agreements and rental services with advanced attachments tailored to customer needs. They carry out service and warranty work on all existing Develon machines in their regions, supported by a full range of original accessories and parts. All importers maintain a stock of new and used Develon machines to respond quickly to their customers' needs.

Develon has experienced strong growth in the Dutch market in recent years, with its mobile excavators widely regarded as market leaders. However, the company's ambitions extend beyond this segment. With the introduction of the new 9-series crawler excavators, Develon aims to gain a leading position in this market as well. This ambition is underlined by the DX260LC-9, which achieved the highest ever measured score in an independent test in Norway, surpassing other major brands.
Founded in 1926, the ELM Group has been supplying machinery to industry, municipalities, agriculture and horticulture for nearly 100 years.
Previously a sub-dealer of Develon earthmoving equipment, ELM has now gained an expanded dealer territory along with a partnership to support the development of zero-emission electric earthmoving equipment for Develon.
This partnership-oriented strategy includes ETEC Zero Emission, a company that specializes in integrating electric powertrains and developing energy solutions for heavy equipment. That was originally founded as ELM Group in 1926. This set-up enables Develon to provide electric excavators that offer comparable performance to diesel machines, while integrating advanced loading, powertrain and control solutions tailored to the needs of Dutch and other European construction sites.
The collaboration resulted in a new line of Develon electric excavators, including wheeled and tracked models, that offer powerful battery configurations that can run a full working day on a single charge.
