Key themes of bauma 2025

The world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, construction material machinery, mining machinery, construction vehicles and construction equipment will be held in Munich from April 7 to 13, 2025. bauma 2025 is looking forward to seeing you! In fact, the first exhibitors started building their stands as early as October.

In 2025, numerous well-known companies will once again use bauma to present themselves and their products. Returning companies include Volvo, Deutz, Liugong, CNH, Skyjack and JLG. About 150 new exhibitors will also be present at bauma 2025. Companies such as Fortescue, DSI/Sandvik, HG-100% electric dumpers, EXiron AG, Gravis Robotics AG, Metso Oyj, rockrobot oy, Wabtec Corporation and WEICO GmbH will participate for the first time.

Digitalization and sustainability are also this year's industry buzzwords. Therefore, they are also reflected in the five main themes bauma will cover: climate neutrality, alternative drive concepts, network construction, sustainable construction and mining challenge. From Monday through Friday, bauma FORUM will focus on one of these main themes. The program will consist of short presentations, panel discussions and key notes. Exhibitors will also present products and innovations from these areas.

Occupational health and safety

As part of the 2025 changes, the area dedicated to occupational health and safety will be centrally consolidated in Hall B4. This strategic placement provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of developments and technological advances that improve safety on construction sites.

Science Hub: focus on research

Eleven research institutions are presenting innovative projects in the Bauma Science Hub. Among others, the Technical University of Munich will present autonomous solutions for transporting bulk goods and a paving robot. The University of Duisburg-Essen will demonstrate a cable robot for precise use on construction sites, and the Technical University of Dresden will present ways to prevent accidents using a mobile excavator that can recognize people. Many other exciting projects await visitors right at the exhibitors' booths.

Start-ups with innovations in all major themes

bauma 2025 also offers young, innovative companies the opportunity to present their ideas. Nearly 50 start-ups have registered to present their innovations and developments related to bauma's main themes, including mobile robot technologies, the development of digital twins of construction sites, alternative propulsion systems, ultrasonic technology in concrete production, autonomous crane solutions for digital construction sites on rough terrain, as well as end-to-end and other software solutions that help companies in the office and on the construction site.

Back at bauma: the VR Experience

Another special attraction is the VR Experience Zone 2025, a partnership between the Construction Future Lab (CFLab) and Messe München. The interactive exhibition combines a museum-like character with innovative technology and highlights important future themes in the construction industry. Interested visitors can attend demonstrations on topics such as construction robotics, alternative drive technologies, additive processes and the digitization of machines and interfaces. The offerings are complemented by interviews with experts and multimedia content. This experience gives visitors comprehensive and practical insights into innovations in the industry and brings future-relevant developments to life.
