Working with metal is great, but the stakes are often high. Errors and imperfections can leave you facing huge repair costs. And if you discover this too late, delivery is also compromised. To prevent this, NDT Netherlands offers various forms of non-destructive testing.

Everyone who works in civil engineering wants to deliver quality and guarantee safety. Yet NDT inspectors are regularly flown in last-minute. "When we arrive, we are not always welcomed with open arms," says Wolter van der Zee, owner of NDT Netherlands. "I can understand that, because usually the conclusion of our investigation is that something is not quite right. Resulting in repair costs and delays."

NDT Netherlands likes to be involved in infrastructure projects at an early stage. Van der Zee: "If we are the closing post, then we have no choice but to test to check whether something has gone wrong. What we would much rather do is determine how to do it better next time. We do that by detecting defects as well as investigating how they occurred. The latter provides insight into how to do it better next time. Moreover, most irregularities are preventable by making small adjustments. So, the earlier we are involved, the better."
NDT Netherlands is a fairly new player on the market. But young does not mean inexperienced. Van der Zee: "Under the Inspecto Visio banner, we have been working for large corporates for years, for example in the oil and gas industry. But increasingly, companies in the SME sector are also knocking on our door for help. Especially for those SMEs, we founded NDT Netherlands in 2021." That this young club delivers quality can be seen, among other things, from two seals of approval. NDO Netherlands is ISO 9001:2015 and VCA* certified.

NDT Netherlands has a wide range of services and assists civil engineers in all kinds of situations. For example, when repairing bridges or building steel structures. When asked what else NDT Netherlands does, Van der Zee laughingly answers, "In addition to our standard investigations, we also like to help with custom work. Indeed, we like to be challenged to come up with solutions that no one has thought of!"
