As spring brings new business activity to the construction, agricultural and transportation sectors, Ritchie Bros.‘ ’Growth Through This Spring" campaign is helping companies turn this seasonal momentum into measurable growth. In this second quarter, the company is empowering customers to take advantage of every fleet management opportunity with greater efficiency, flexibility and confidence.
Spring brings with it a special energy. Fields and meadows that were in hibernation come to life, construction sites awaken thanks to new orders, transportation networks run at full speed, and companies that spent the winter planning are now putting those plans into action. For heavy equipment owners, the question is always the same: Is the machinery ready for what is to come?

This season, Ritchie Bros. a RB Global company and market leader in heavy equipment management and sales, is confidently meeting that challenge. After a record-breaking first quarter and with an expanded auction calendar ahead, the company is helping businesses realize value, invest confidently and grow.
"Every spring there is a sense of momentum", says Ghislaine Duijmelings, general manager at Ritchie Bros. International. "That's the time when companies turn their plans into action, expand and prepare for their busiest months. Our goal is to make sure they can act quickly: sell when it makes sense, buy when an opportunity arises, all with confidence and clarity."
The first quarter figures speak volumes. Across the EMEA region, Ritchie Bros. posted record results in one market after another - a sign that confidence in used machinery is not only holding up, but growing.
In the construction nearly 19,500 lots were sold as contractors readied their machinery for the first projects of the year. Mini excavators, aerial work platforms, hydraulic excavators, telescopic forklifts, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks were the most in demand with more than 5,100 buyers in the EMEA region.
The agricultural sector delivered about 1,300 tractors, haymakers, combines and accessories to more than 900 buyers preparing for this seeding and harvesting season.
The transport market delivered more than 1,100 passenger cars, SUVs, tractor-trailers, dump trucks and flatbed trailers to nearly 800 buyers gearing up for the busiest transportation months.
In the Benelux increased auction frequency for the first time in the first quarter, resulting in more than 200,000 page views and more than 3,000 registered bidders across two auctions.

Spring 2026 dawns against a backdrop of real economic uncertainty. Changes in global energy markets, volatile fuel prices and the rising cost of raw materials such as urea - used in diesel exhaust fluid as well as fertilizer - are putting new pressure on companies that rely on heavy equipment.
In this environment, the ability to act quickly, shed underutilized machinery, free up working capital and invest in more efficient equipment is not only a competitive advantage, but also a form of resilience. Ritchie Bros.' global marketplace, with its transparent pricing and quick turnaround, is designed for just such moments.
The second quarter brings with it an expanded auction calendar, giving sellers more sales opportunities and buyers access to a wider range of offerings throughout Europe and the Middle East.
„Our spring auction calendar is designed to provide both sellers and buyers with more opportunities and greater flexibility“, adds Duijmelings. „With more demand, visibility and control, businesses can really grow more this spring.“
For agriculture, the upcoming auction in Meppen in June remains the largest agricultural hub in Europe for farm machinery - an important event as farmers in the north finish their seeding work and those in the south deal with irrigation and drought. Sellers can turn stored or surplus equipment into capital; buyers can find just the right machinery for the coming months.

"Every farmer knows that the energy of spring does not last long", says Forgest Potka, Agricultural Sales Manager at Ritchie Bros. in Europe. "You have to plan, act and invest quickly. When the timing is right, everything grows faster."
Whether you are selling one machine or an entire fleet of machines, or looking for the right machine for your next project, Ritchie Bros. offers the marketplace, the data and the expertise to make it happen, with payouts typically within 21 days and with 24-hour supply of equipment for buyers.
