'Solution seeks problem'

"We still encounter many companies where digitization is far removed from the organization," says Maarten Overeem of Idea101, founder of Cleverdesk. "And that is precisely where the 'quick wins' lie to be able to run an organization much more efficiently and future-oriented. In any case, we are ready and have the solutions. Do you dare to challenge us?"

Basically, digitizing does not mean implementing augmented reality or other trendy techniques, Overeem assures. "No, it is mainly about digitizing daily, mostly recurring tasks. Especially now in corona time, digitization is more important than ever, entirely to bridge the gap between work field and office. Take a good look at how much manual work is still being done in the organization. How much is still done on paper or in Excel and how much is mailed or called? Many companies manage to save up to one and a half FTEs by using Cleverdesk. Efficiency goes up tremendously. Employees can focus on their core business."

Cleverdesk provides a grip on projects which helps achieve healthy margins.

Conditional maintenance

So what makes Cleverdesk so unique? Overeem: "We integrate all operational processes in a single package, combining people and equipment in a single planning. Cleverdesk offers a grip on projects, which contributes to realizing healthy margins. Data from projects is not lost. Thanks to smart techniques, data from previous projects can be used to offer future projects. In other words, companies do not have to keep reinventing the wheel. We are also fully committed to the Internet of Things. We already have several modules ready to use, for example, to perform conditional maintenance. Using sensors, we can read out via a LoRa network when a tree or other planting needs to be watered. So the greenery does not have to be watered periodically, but is notified in Cleverdesk when the time comes. This improves efficiency, saves time and water. And so many applications are conceivable. For example, with IoT you can also proactively manage fuel consumption and CO2-emissions."

There are an awful lot of opportunities for infrastructure companies in digitizing operational processes, Overeem summarizes. "Once people have had a taste of Cleverdesk, they don't want anything else. The application works extremely intuitively, even on mobile devices. Anyone who can operate a smartphone can also get along fine with Cleverdesk. We are now looking for companies that want to take the next step in IoT with us. Who feels like challenging us?"
