With growth, collaboration and targeted investments
Recent years have been marked by growth, professionalization and further strengthening Bonneveld's position in the field of cofferdams and reinforced soil structures. And that has certainly not hurt the company. This upward trend will happily continue in 2026, but with clear choices in people, equipment and especially in cooperation.
Last year, the team grew from 65 to 80 employees. “A big step, necessary to cope with the increasing size and complexity of projects,” says Anco van der Heiden. He runs the family business together with his brother Leon, father Harry and equal partner/companion Stefan Albers. “The projects are getting bigger and that requires more capacity and knowledge. With now six work planners in the office, we pay a lot of attention to planning, preparation, inspections and coordination at the front end of projects. It is precisely this careful preparation that is greatly appreciated by clients.”

In the coming period, Anco says the focus is emphatically on intensifying relationships with existing clients. “We are fortunate to have established relationships with whom we have worked successfully for many years.” Increasingly, Bonneveld is being involved as a tender partner in large infrastructure and rail projects, such as the A10 motorway, Nieuwe Meer interchange and around Amsterdam Central Station, among others. “A thorough calculation and extensive work preparation ensure that we provide early insight into risks and minimize surprises during execution,” says Leon.
The Bonneveld Reinforced Ground Constructions division is also working overtime. “We see an increasingly wide application of reinforced soil structures and light fill materials such as EPS, also for temporary situations,” says Leon. “In doing so, we provide the complete picture from the design, delivery and installation of the EPS construction to its removal, takeover and reuse elsewhere. This is how we actively work to close the sustainability circle. We do this in the form of a powerful partnership with the Joosten Group.”

The size of projects also requires a different scale in equipment. This is why the largest crawler crane within Bonneveld will be delivered in April 2026: a 65-ton CAT 352 LRE with a long 19-meter boom. “This machine is ideally suited for the increasingly deep construction and underwater pits, which range from 5 to sometimes as deep as 20 meters,” Anco illustrates. “The extra reach and capacity make it possible to perform this work more efficiently and safely. In addition, the decision was made to completely rebuild two existing CAT 340 crawler cranes. Previous experience with rebuilds has been very positive: machines continued to run reliably for ten thousand hours after overhaul.”

Apart from these heavy and large machines, Bonneveld now has a wide range of emission-free equipment, including vibratory rammers, a boom lift, mini-shovel, a 10-ton midi-excavator and a 25-ton crawler crane. “So we are able to carry out some of our work completely emission-free, if clients insist on that.”
With a new website, growing teams, new machines and strengthened collaborations with renowned market players (more on that later, ed.), Bonneveld is strengthening its foundation in building pits and reinforced soil structures in 2026.
