The new Linde E and Xi electric forklifts, with lift capacities ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 tons set a new industry standard in performance, ergonomics and compact design. The wide range of models ensures a perfect match for a wide range of customer requirements. The Linde Xi10 to Xi20 models feature an integrated 90-volt lithium-ion battery and a synchronous reluctance motor for high acceleration and fast lift/lower speeds. The Linde E14 to E20 models offer versatility, allowing operators to switch between lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries or continue to use existing batteries on the plug-and-play principle.
Picking up and putting down loads, driving up and down ramps, loading trucks, unloading materials and starting all over again, hour after hour, in all weathers. This is what the new electric Linde Xi trucks do. Even experienced diesel drivers are impressed, as is Michael Heying of the German Gebr. Ostendorf Kunststoffe GmbH: "I have been driving combustion trucks for more than 22 years and I must say, the Linde Xi is really great tool! When you accelerate, the power is there immediately and the same goes for lifting and lowering. It really is a fast machine." In fact, the Linde Xi10 - 20 series achieves lifting and lowering speeds that are up to 20 percent above the market average. At the same time, as Heying confirms, the forklift offers a high level of user comfort thanks to its lowered and widened entrance. This is made possible because the battery is permanently integrated and thus no battery drawer is needed as in other models.
The fact that the battery is permanently integrated also offers other ergonomic advantages, such as head and leg room. Michael Heying: "You have a lot of space and it doesn't feel so cramped. I can see everything through the big windows, which makes loading trucks much easier. I also go home at night without a thumping headache because the forklift is so quiet and the vibrations are effectively absorbed." This is partly achieved by the damping concept, which uses elastomeric ring bearings to decouple not only the steering shaft and chassis, but also the mast and drive shaft.
When an electric forklift takes over a task previously performed by a combustion truck, sooner or later the question of endurance comes up. Nevertheless, the Linde Xi20 proven to have sufficient energy reserves even during intensive non-stop operation. In addition, the new electric trucks will gradually reduce your company's carbon footprint. And when a zero-emission electric forklift does the job just as well as a combustion engine forklift, the driving performance is second to none, the operators are ergonomic and comfortable, and the trucks come standard with a host of safety assistants, you're talking about a born winner.
