Leading specialist in the tree industry

Continuously invests in collaboration and sustainability

Tree lifting company Weijtmans is a leading specialist in the tree sector. With 45 permanent employees and over one hundred years of experience in the trade, it is safe to say that the family business has what it takes to carry out every job, no matter how difficult or challenging, to the client's satisfaction. Weijtmans is also ambitiously committed to the structural reduction of CO2 emissions, and is striving for better cooperation between gray and green.

In addition to felling, caring for and pruning trees, Weijtmans provides a wide range of forest and tree management services and is a supplier of logs and biomass. From their Brabant business locations in Udenhout and Son, they serve clients in the Netherlands and abroad; large and small. For example, Weijtmans is responsible for trees or forest management in a large number of municipalities in central and southern Netherlands. We also work closely with land, road and water managers and the civil engineering sector.

Energy transition and zero-emission work

Weijtmans employs over 45 permanent employees, including Tree Workers (ETW) and Tree Technicians (ETT) certified professionals, supported internally by a team of specialists. Extensive, innovative machinery is available to the experienced staff. Trendsetting features include the in-house developed telescopic cranes, which can prune or break down a tree quickly and in full control without risk of falling damage. Furthermore, both company locations are largely energy-neutral. Weijtmans was one of the first in the industry to purchase electric vehicles and machinery. With its own mobile battery containers, a project can be carried out completely zero-emission. Thanks to constant network congestion, on-site charging of electric equipment is a pipe dream unless you provide your own charging facility. The battery containers can keep the machinery working for several days and are recharged on site using solar energy.

Cooperation gray and green

For large infrastructure projects, Weijtmans often works intensively with contractors from the GWW sector, not only for new construction but also for renovation and major maintenance. Green is popular and nowadays increasingly an important and defining element in a project. Direct profit can be achieved if the gray contractor makes maximum use of the expertise of a green specialist, such as Boomrooierij Weijtmans. A successful greening transition can only come about if all the elements required for this are handled carefully and wisely. A good growing site is the basis of any planting, and here it may very well be that at significantly lower cost the end result is many times better and more sustainable. Good cooperation at an early stage is essential.
