Testing SANY SY19E this week at DNL Machines & Equipment

At Bauma 2022, Sany introduced the SY19E. This is the first of a series of electric excavators that Sany will introduce in the near future. To acquaint potential customers with the SANY SY19E, they can test it for themselves this week, until Friday, February 17, at DNL Machines & Equipment in Haastrecht.

100% electric drive

The 1,965 kg mini excavator is powered by a Vmax electric motor with a rated power of 10 kW. The maximum power of this electric motor is 15 kW and the maximum torque is 72 Nm. The hydraulic system and undercarriage are the same as those of the already existing Sany SY16C and Sany SY18C. The load-sensing variable-flow plunger pump has a maximum oil flow rate of 72 l/min. The machine's travel speed is 3.6 km/h (high) and 2.6 km/h (low). As standard, the machine is equipped with a proportionally controlled hammer function.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery

When fully charged, the LFP battery has a capacity of 22 kWh. This is more than enough to operate the machine for 6 hours at rated operation. Recharging the battery can be done using a DC fast charger (1.5 hours), 400V (2.5 hours) connection or a 230V (9 hours) connection. The times indicated are for charging from 0% residual charge to 100%. An LFP battery can be charged randomly. Partial charging does not adversely affect battery life. The LFP battery has a very long service life of more than 3,500 full charge cycles. Converted, this corresponds to approximately 14,000 machine running hours. In addition to a long service life, the LFP battery is one of the safest batteries on the market. This is due to its high chemical and thermal stability. The absence of Cobalt also makes the LFP battery the most environmentally friendly battery and there is little risk in terms of availability of raw materials for the production of the battery.

High operating comfort

The SANY SY19E has a clear operating console with 7" touchscreen. The high resolution touchscreen is comfortable to operate and gives the operator a clear display of the machine's status. In addition, the touch screen allows easy adjustment of hydraulic system settings. When the control is not active, the electric motor automatically returns to idle speed. After the plug of the charging cord is connected, charging proceeds further fully automatically.
