TOBROCO-GIANT further expands range of electric machines

Larger G2700 series also electrically powered

Within a few months, TOBROCO-GIANT will also deliver the G2700 series of wheel loaders with electric drive. These are a size larger and more powerful than the already electrified models in the G2200E line and can carry entire pallets of bricks or move hefty buckets of soil.

The "desire" for a more environmentally friendly way of working is increasingly influencing investment decisions in sectors such as construction and demolition, infrastructure, earth moving, landscaping, in the agricultural sector and in municipal services. This makes it increasingly important to be able to work on site with low-noise and emission-free, electrically powered machines. At the same time, the current situation is causing fossil fuels to become an ever-increasing cost item.

TOBROCO-GIANT of Oisterwijk has already built more than 800 articulated loaders with electric drive. In the process, the latest technologies are applied in the field of lithium-ion batteries and battery management systems. TOBROCO-GIANT's ultimate goal is clear: to be able to offer an electric version of every model.

Convincing and powerful

Due to their higher operating weight (2,775 kg including ground bucket and operator) and increased traction force of 12.5 kN, the electrified G2700E and G2700E X-TRA can perform heavier work than the smaller and lighter G2200E and G2200E X-TRA models. The machines can be optionally equipped with various counterweights under the machine (up to 200 kg). This leads to high tipping loads of up to 2,390 kg (G2700E) and even 2,800 kg (G2700E X-TRA). These high tipping loads make lifting and transporting a complete pallet of clinkers or tiles no problem at all.

Furthermore, the machines convince with a lifting height of 2.96 meters for the G2700E and 2.5 meters for the G2700E X-TRA. The choice of three different speeds ensures precise and controlled working. The hill-hold function is very convenient and prevents the machine from rolling back when starting on a slope. The wheel loaders have a large and comfortable cab. At the same time, the compact dimensions and limited weight make them easy to transport on a trailer.

Technically advanced

The wheel loaders are equipped with a 48V lithium-ion battery, which can be fully charged within five hours via the on-board charger. New is the possibility of charging the articulated loader at a charging station just like an electric car. It is also possible to use an external fast charger with 48V/150A or 48V/300A. This can make sense if the machine is used all day without many interruptions for heavy tasks. The battery is automatically recharged when the brake is applied or the machine rolls out.

The G2700E and G2700E X-TRA are powered by a powerful 6.5V electric motor. The hydrostatic four-wheel drive with automotive steering and 100 percent switchable locking on both 14-ton axles ensures that the machine does not lose contact with the ground and always provides sufficient tractive effort for smooth movement.

Sufficient flow rate

The working hydraulics are driven by a separate electric motor (12 kW), which supplies 35 l/min of oil flow with a pressure of 170 bar for the attachments. This allows long-term work with mowers, sweepers or flail mowers. Such attachments require a substantial flow of hydraulic oil for their drive. To prevent this oil from getting too hot, it is possible to equip the machines with an oil cooler.
