Styrelf Long Life is a polymer modified bitumen (PMD) from the Styrelf range. The products in this range are produced according to the so-called crosslinking technology. Meanwhile, Styrelf consists of more than twenty products, suitable for various asphalt mixtures. But the Long Life binder technology is also compatible with regular PEN bitumen, for which Azals Long Life is an option.

The crude oil used for Styrelf is supplied from the North Sea by a fixed pipeline. This guarantees high and, above all, constant quality. The patented production process in Brunsbüttel, Germany, at Europe's only bitumen refinery, ensures that the bitumen is better protected at the refining level from aging through oxidation.

Styrelf bitumen has several advantages over PEN bitumen. These include better stability during storage, excellent elasticity and improved resistance to aging. This makes Styrelf Long Life a revolutionary step in asphalt road preservation.
