In projects in the construction and railroad industry, it is very important that all topographical operations are carried out with the greatest accuracy. With the combination of knowledge and experience and the use of the latest technologies and topographic equipment, Duyck Land Surveying offers a solution in every situation.
For the close-knit team of experienced employees at Land Surveying Duyck, no challenge is too great. They are active in many different fields, such as construction projects and railroad yards. Pieter Duyck leads this growing company together with his wife, architect Joke Roose, and both are proud of the well-oiled team.
Duyck: "As a specialist in the railroad sector, you have to be able to work together strongly and be flexible. As was the case recently after the derailment of a freight train near Sinaai (B) between Antwerp-North and Ghent-Zeehaven." Over a stretch of no less than four kilometers, the damage to the rail infrastructure was enormous. "Rail network manager Infrabel worked with two contractors on this stretch. Landmeetkunde Duyck was the overall surveyor's office here. The entire track had to be replaced in just three days. We measured the adjacent track, and created a new design from there. It involved some night work to get the design to the contractor the next morning. We then assisted with the understopping work in the following days and performed the inspection. After the final revision was completed, the route could be put back into full service."

"Our priority is: to strive for high quality. This is only possible if the knowledge and materials are up-to-date to perform the work. We have an extensive range of high-tech equipment and software. We closely follow the latest developments and we work with the most accurate equipment. For example, we have invested in a railroad trolley that can measure a larger route in a shorter period of time, allowing us to work even faster and more efficiently."
