With more than 28,000 lots sold in the EMEA and APAC regions during the second quarter, the company is looking forward to a busy auction schedule for September. “Super September” means a huge selection of equipment, all accompanied by comprehensive inspection reports and professional support for both buyers and sellers—from payment through delivery.
Ritchie Bros., the world's leading heavy equipment auction house, is launching its ‘Super September’ Campaign: a month packed with auctions in the EMEA and APAC regions. The September auction calendar offers buyers one of the largest and most diverse selections of used machinery of the year. With offerings spanning construction, agricultural, and transportation equipment, the auction program provides buyers with more opportunities to find the machines they need, as well as the operational support to purchase them with confidence, no matter where in the world they are located.
Demand is high in the run-up to Super September. In the second quarter of 2026, Ritchie Bros. sold. more than 20,000 lots in auctions across the EMEA region, with more than 14,000 bidders and more than 5,000 buyers participated, including Italy, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany as frontrunners. In the APAC region, growth was even stronger: volumes rose by 53% compared to last year to more than 8,000 lots, attracting more than 9,000 bidders and more than 3,000 buyers, with Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the United States as the frontrunners.

Construction and industrial machinery remained the driving force behind all these activities, with more than 18,000 lots sold in the EMEA region—a 5% increase at the auctions – and nearly 7,000 in the APAC region, an increase of 42%. Mini excavators were the best-selling type of construction equipment in EMEA, with more than 1,100 units sold, followed by aerial work platforms, crawler excavators, wheel loaders, and telescopic forklifts, while crawler excavators, wheel loaders, and articulated dump trucks were the top sellers in APAC. The most striking story, however, was the transportation sector in APAC, where volumes more than tripled year-over-year to nearly 1,200 lots sold, the number of bidders rose by 1,48%, and the number of buyers increased by nearly one-fifth.
“Buyers tell us the same thing in every market: they want choice, but they also want certainty.”, says Fergus Garrett, Regional Operations Manager for Germany and Spain at Ritchie Bros. “Super September offers both. Buyers get a month full of auctions with thousands of lots to choose from, and behind every lot is a local team that has inspected the machine, documented it thoroughly, and can arrange for delivery—whether it’s just around the corner or across the border.”
As more and more equipment purchases take place online, trust and transparency are more important than ever, and Ritchie Bros. supports buyers at every stage of the transaction. Each auction listing provides buyers with a clear picture of an item before they place a bid, including detailed inspection reports, complete specifications, photos, and videos. Dedicated local teams assist buyers with payment and the documentation needed to ensure that international transactions comply with regulations and proceed on schedule. And the support extends all the way to the final destination: from local pickup to cross-border transport—Ritchie Bros. can help arrange transportation so that the equipment arrives exactly where it’s needed. This combination of local operational expertise and global reach ensures that an auction listing results in a completed transaction—which is particularly relevant for the growing number of buyers purchasing from abroad.
“Super September is the month when the RB auction calendar works hardest for buyers,” adds Shane Eshuis, Vice President of International Operations, too. “If you’ve been putting off your purchase while waiting for the right machine at the right price, this is the month when the odds are in your favor.”
