Renault Trucks at IAA 2026: Solutions for More Sustainable Transportation

From September 15 through 20, 2026, Renault Trucks will be exhibiting at the IAA Transportation trade show in Hanover, the leading international event for transportation professionals. At a 923 m² booth in Hall 21, Booth B52, the manufacturer will showcase the evolution of its electric vehicle lineup, which now meets the operational requirements of a growing number of applications in road transport.

Among the most significant innovations are the 2027 model-year Renault Trucks T High, equipped with the new DE13 R engine, and the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, designed for long-haul transport.

World Premiere: Renault Trucks T High 2027 with the new DE13 R engine

At the 2026 IAA, Renault Trucks will unveil the 2027 model year Renault Trucks T High, equipped with the new DE13 R engine.

This engine was developed to improve fuel efficiency, performance, and ride comfort. Fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions are up to 4% lower compared to the previous generation. The engine is available with up to 540 pk and 2,800 Nm of torque and is paired with a new Optidriver transmission that ensures faster and smoother gear shifts. In addition, a more powerful engine brake provides better vehicle control and added driving comfort, particularly on demanding routes.

To showcase this technological advancement, the DE13 R engine will also be displayed separately at the booth.

A growing selection of electric vehicles

Renault Trucks will showcase several electric vehicles that highlight the rapid expansion of its electric portfolio.

One of the highlights is the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, a new model designed for long-haul transport. With a range of 660 km, which allows for a full legal day’s driving without needing to recharge, this model offers new possibilities for the electrification of long-haul transport. This is made possible by a new vehicle architecture featuring an electric rear axle, which creates additional space for batteries.

In addition, the heavy-duty electric vehicle lineup includes the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 540, designed for regional distribution, with a range of up to 450 km on a single charge.

For urban distribution, Renault Trucks is introducing the E-Tech D14: an exceptionally compact vehicle with a small turning radius (less than 7.3 meters) and a narrow width. These features make the vehicle extremely maneuverable and ideal for use in inner-city environments.

Special section for light commercial vehicles

Part of the booth is dedicated to Renault Trucks' light commercial vehicles, featuring two electric models:

Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Offroad
Designed for light construction work, this vehicle combines zero-emission mobility with off-road capability. The Offroad version, available exclusively through Renault Trucks, features increased ground clearance and specialized equipment for optimal performance on construction sites.

New generation of electric light commercial vehicles
A newly developed commercial vehicle based on a specially designed skateboard platform and a Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture.

With this offering, Renault Trucks is underscoring its growth objectives in the light commercial vehicle segment, with the goal of doubling sales volume by 2030.
