With the introduction of two new models, SANY confirms its ambitions in the Benelux. The brand now has a complete range of crawler cranes, both battery-electric powered and with Stage V diesel engines and equipped with telescopic or lattice boom.
New to the range is the 50-ton telerup crane with a fully synchronous 44-meter extendable mast, available as an electric version with 210 kWh battery pack as well as an economical Stage V diesel. During bauma, it became clear that interest is high. Dealer Sany cranes.services sold there, among other things, a 200-ton lattice boom - also newly developed - to Herpertz, which has already invested in five electric SANYs and also ordered an SCE800TB with diesel engine.
Three machines were also festively handed over to proud customers. Gebr. van 't Hek took delivery of a 50-ton SCE500TB-EV, Aertssen chose the 100-ton SCE1000TB-EV and Ploegam expanded its fleet with a 100-ton SCE1000A-EV with lattice boom. The brand is thus in demand by both crane rental companies and foundation specialists, and the machines are equipped with both a lifting and a foundation table. Two winches are part of the standard equipment; a third winch is optionally available as a hose winch.
Since the brand's return to the European market in 2021, Sany cranes.services has already sold 30 diesel and as many electric crawler cranes in Benelux. The first electric cranes have been running smoothly in the field for 2.5 years. This makes SANY the market leader in emission-free hoisting. "It's great to be in that position," Jack Donker knows. "With eight electric models and ten modern diesel variants, there is a suitable solution for every project. In addition to the popular 80-tonner, we are filling more and more niches."
The electric offering includes a 50-, 80-, 100- or 150-ton telescopic crane and lattice boom versions of 100, 135, 200 or 250 tons. Diesel fans can choose from telescopic cranes of 50, 80, 150 and 250 tons or with lattice boom from 60 to as much as 480 tons. All electric models are developed ex-factory and include CATL LFP batteries (210 to 423kWh) and Danfoss electric motors. Plug-in capabilities in the undercarriage and superstructure allow recharging via AC and DC. On average, a 32A connection is sufficient to charge from workday to workday.
Specially developed by SANY is the Power Linx SPL210, a 210 kWh mobile battery pack with which cranes can be recharged anywhere in between. Four of these have already been sold in the Netherlands. Moreover, Sany cranes.services has its own parts warehouse in Sassenheim, so customers can be served quickly. The brand is also strong in terms of deliverability: various electric cranes are available directly from stock or on the way. That SANY is at the forefront of electrification worldwide, Roland Quarré noticed during his recent visit to the factory.
"Once again I was amazed at the enormous production capacity. Not only crawler cranes, but also electric excavators, shovels, trucks, forklifts and container handlers are built there. The experience that SANY has built up worldwide is impressive. We translate that knowledge to the market here in the Benelux." And with success, as Quarré was awarded during his visit for delivering the most electric cranes in recent years. "An award I am happy to dedicate to all our customers. Together we have really put electric hoisting on the map in the Netherlands."
