Strategic expansion in Almelo and Rilland brings BUKO even closer to customers

To strengthen its national coverage and serve customers even faster and more efficiently, BUKO Infrasupport is opening two new offices: in Almelo and Rilland. With this, BUKO reinforces its market leadership in temporary traffic measures. This expansion brings the total number of branches in the Netherlands to sixteen, ensuring even stronger national coverage. Each region has specific challenges, and with these new branches, BUKO can respond even better to local needs in Twente, Achterhoek, West Brabant and Zeeland. By having a local presence, BUKO can not only move faster, but also work more closely with clients and road authorities to provide safe traffic measures. 

Strategic expansion 

With the new branches, BUKO is responding to growing market demand and customers' desire to have a reliable and flexible partner nearby. "We still saw growth opportunities in Zeeland and West Brabant, but we did not have a location there close to our customers," says Edwin Vente, Southwest Regional Director at BUKO Infrasupport. "Thanks to these expansions, we are increasing our national coverage and can work even more customer-oriented, faster and more efficiently, because we can then be at the customer's location anywhere in the Netherlands within 45 minutes."

BUKO is also taking a step forward in the northeast of the country. "Until now, we served the Almelo region from our branch in Zwolle," says Arnoud Beute, Northeast Regional Director. "With the opening of a new branch in Almelo, we can pick up our projects more efficiently and faster. Our customers benefit from more flexibility, which directly contributes to smoother project execution. In addition, we were regularly told that potential clients were eager to work with us, but found us just too far away. With this new location, we are removing that barrier."

Customer-oriented and flexible

BUKO is known as a flexible partner that moves quickly. "If a customer calls today, it is often arranged the same day or the next day. We can live up to that even better with this expansion," Edwin explains. "Urgencies we continue to pick up effortlessly, in addition to the schedulable work."

In addition to speed, the expansion offers other benefits. Customers get to deal with a fixed contact person from the region. "This ensures personal contact and local knowledge," says Arnoud. "Our employees live and work in the region, this increases involvement and strengthens the network with road authorities."

Concrete impact 

The benefits of the expansion are immediately noticeable in practice. "Take for example a project in Enschede where we are closing off an entire residential area for an energy transition project," says Arnoud. "Our crews had to come from Zwolle every day for this. Now we can switch much faster and check more often."

Having a local office is also a big plus for contingency contracts. Edwin: "If you need to be on site quickly, it helps tremendously to be literally around the corner."

Looking to the future 

With the opening of Almelo and Rilland, BUKO has increased its national coverage. But they are not sitting still. "We keep looking at how we can serve our customers even better and more efficiently," says Arnoud. "The market is constantly changing, and we move flexibly with it. We continue to invest in technology, digitalization and innovative solutions to offer customers the best service." BUKO also continues to grow internationally, with three recent acquisitions in Germany and the UK. But the core remains the same: "Our customers can always count on us to fix it," Edwin concludes. "The right materials, always, on time. And above all: a safe work situation."
