TBS-SVA Group combines innovativeness and reliability in best-fit drainage products for the market

Where previously the two powerful brands TBS and SVA decided to join forces, this was later expanded with the acquisition of IE systems, specialist in innovative sewage products. And now the fourth brand is on the TBS-SVA Group added: DDC AquaCare.

The company, formerly DDC which stood for Drain Design Construct, has more than 60 years of experience in stormwater drainage technology, making it a valuable addition to the TBS-SVA Group according to Willy Bruckers, commercial director of the group. "Where TBS-SVA GROUP is very strong in advising and having the right product prescribed to municipalities and (semi) government agencies, DCC works in the same way and has a very strong position in this with engineering firms and landscape architects."

The importance of good advice

Willy believes that the importance of sound, good advice is quite often underestimated. "Before a substantial investment is made in a public space, it is important to take a close look at what the need for help is, what the solution can be, what challenges are involved, and what products are best suited to it." To illustrate, Willy mentions the redesign of a square in a residential neighborhood. "It's important to look at what the purpose of the space is, who uses it, whether traffic drives over it, what the requirements are, whether there will be greenery on the square, how to prevent heat stress and how to make it a beautiful living environment that citizens feel good about... If you're going to renovate anyway, take all those things into consideration right away," he believes. "We then translate this into a recommendation where we propose climate-adaptive products that meet the wishes and requirements so that a long product life is guaranteed." Fortunately, more and more municipalities are recognizing the importance of sound advice.

"And they see that we are responding to the increasing demand for climate-adaptive products," Willy continues. He mentions the Mini Rain Garden, the Cyclone Filter Well Gully, the Cool City Draining Gutter and the retention Gully Box System. "All innovative climate-adaptive products that fall under our Aquacare segment. And that is immediately the term added to DDC's name as of the acquisition date. From now on it is called DDC AquaCare, so that they also carry that message even more."
