S86 and T86: new heavy-duty compact Bobcat loaders
Presented in September are the S86 (wheeled) and T86 (tracked), the most powerful compact loaders Bobcat has ever produced. Both machines are equipped with the 3.4-liter Stage V Bobcat engine that offers 78 kW (105 hp) at 2,600 rpm. Thanks to special options for the auxiliary hydraulics, the models can handle all types of attachments and be used for all applications. For better cooling capacity of the engine and all hydraulic components, the engine is in line with the direct drive, which also makes the machines very reliable in tough road and forestry conditions.
An interesting feature of the S86 and the T86 are the three different options for auxiliary hydraulics. For applications requiring a low flow rate, the standard flow configuration of 87 l/min is sufficient. But in addition, thanks to the new Electronic Displacement Control (EDC) pump, Bobcat offers two additional features for better hydraulic performance: High Flow with 138 l/min and a new Super Flow function, which delivers a flow rate of 159 l/min.
For the Super Flow version, a connection block with five couplers is installed, which offers great flexibility in the use of attachments. The smaller ½-inch quick connectors allow the operator to connect both standard attachments and attachments approved for High Flow to one common feed.
An advanced attachment for Super Flow delivers maximum performance and productivity by connecting to the ¾-inch quick connectors. With both High Flow and Super Flow, the ACD (Attachment Control Device) is integrated. The S86 and the T86 with High Flow or Super Flow have the Bob-Tach attachment coupling system as standard. For Standard Flow machines, it is optional.
With the new design of the S86 and T86 workgroups, the machines can lift more, move more and reach further. This is thanks to the new valve blocks, which provide more lifting power throughout the entire reach of the lift frame. Combined with the powerful hydraulics and lighter but sturdier lift arm sections made of cast steel, the loaders now deliver more lift capacity throughout the lift cycle, even at maximum height. The S86 has a lifting capacity of 1,587 kg and a tipping load of 3,175 kg. With the T86, these values are 1,780 and 5,087 kg, respectively.
Bobcat supplies the S86 and T86 with a comfortable cab. Thanks to the sealed pressure cab, the operator has less noise and vibration. The intuitive SJC standard controls and the 5-inch display that provides a lot of information about the machine make operation easy. An advanced 7-inch monitor can be incorporated as an option. Other standard features include the HVAC system and good visibility around the machine, which can be further enhanced with the robust transparent cab side wall without protective grilles.
Bobcat supplies both loaders standard with a rear-view camera. Improved power, speed and bucket leveling control options make working with the machine even more comfortable.
The smallest: new Bobcat MT100
The new Bobcat MT100 mini tracked loader is a great alternative for performing work quickly that is now often done with hand tools. With a width of only 904 mm, a weight of 1,500 kilograms and tracks, the MT100 handles well on narrow paths, in narrow passages and in confined spaces. The MT100's integrated operator platform gives excellent visibility to the sides of the machine and to the attachment. Thanks to the MT100's ISO joysticks with their ergonomic design, the machine can be maneuvered very precisely.
Despite its small size, the MT100 performs excellently. The Stage V diesel engine with 25 hp delivers a lifting capacity of 460 kg, a tipping load of 1,314 kg, high breakout force and a lifting height of 2,057 mm. Movable counterweights allow the operator to match the lifting and digging capacity to the job. The tracks also make the machine very suitable for landscaping.
The MT100 is equipped with powerful auxiliary hydraulics with a flow rate of up to 41 l/min and the Bob-Tach attachment coupling system. Because the MT100 can work with virtually all attachments on Bobcat's larger compact loaders, the applications are endless.
