Bunnik Rental and Earthmoving rents (almost) everything for contractors in the infrastructure sector. At this family business, the love of the trade and maximum attention to the customer are central. Bunnik Verhuur en grondverzet has been a preferred supplier to various contractors in the civil engineering sector for many decades.

Bunnik Verhuur en grondverzet is active as a rental company of excavators and shovels with and without operator. The company is a welcome guest on the Blankenburg connection, among others, and handles a wide variety of work. "At the beginning of the project we mainly supported the contractor combination with the major earthmoving work," says company manager Perry Bunnik, son of founder John Bunnik who is still active as a crane operator. "Now we are mainly involved in finishing work and assisting with street work. Our unique equipment pieces come in handy for that. That is also our strength, performing all facets in-house: from deep construction excavation to finishing the project in the form of paving and embankment paving."

Flexible

In addition to father and son Bunnik, brother Michel, mother Ineke and Perry's wife Stephanie also work in the company. "Our lines of communication are short and our staff extremely competent which means we can respond quickly and flexibly to unexpected or complex situations. Even on weekends. We have proven that several times on the Blankenburg connection," says Bunnik. "We ran many weekends in 2022 and assisted with asphalting, among other things. For this, we again developed our own attachments with rubber flaps to 'pull' the sticky asphalt mixture out of the tippers. We supply not only many machines and operators on this project, but also earthworkers, light trucks, rollers and generators. We are really proud of the fact that we can make a (versatile) contribution to such a large project."

Productive from start to finish

Many other infrastructure contractors also make grateful use of Bunnik's expertise and machinery. "For example, we are on the job every day for KWS Infra with three mobile excavators equipped in the infra contractor's house style. With the many spare parts on our machines, we can assist on projects from start to finish. For example, we are now working on a reconstruction for KWS Infra in the center of Leiden, as well as in Ridderkerk. Furthermore, Van Gelder in turn is a regular customer of our static three-rollers, for Ballast Nedam we are permanently active with two employees and equipment on the Shell site and for the rest we take care of an awful lot of smaller work with Bunnik Verhuur and earthmoving."

Besides being a partner in earthmoving, Bunnik specializes in the rental of materials and accessories for the infrastructure sector. Unique is the range of (electric) well pumps and trenchers in all shapes and sizes under one roof. "We think along with our customers and give advice on materials, equipment and the (sustainable) moving of water, among other things. In this way, we create a nice synergy between our rental branch and earthmoving."
