Pipeline specialist twelve and a half years

Evenco Engineering & Consultancy has something to celebrate. The piping specialist was founded 12.5 years ago by Theo Everaers. “Evenco can respond quickly to all kinds of different projects. The variety and challenge are what I like about this work.”

Everaers is active wherever pipelines need to be laid or relocated. “The common thread is that we mainly deal with pipelines in relation to other infrastructure, but also, for example, cooling water pipes for power plants.” A recent Evenco project took place near the Meuse River, where pipes had lost their ground coverage due to flooding. “Here it was necessary to lay new pipelines. We were involved in this because of our expertise and flexibility. My relations know that Evenco works professionally and customer-oriented without frills. New drilling was carried out at the Meuse River, ten meters below the existing site, in order to lay new pipes under great time pressure. 

“The key is that we continue to offer our expertise and do good work. Then customers keep coming back.” This work can be simple, according to Everaers, or very complex. For example, Evenco worked on laying two pipelines under the Juliana Canal in Elsloo. This involved horizontal directional drilling (HDD). “For this complex project, we made the preliminary design and participated in the construction team. The space was limited, the subsoil unfavorable and there are anchored sheet pile walls along the canal. The biggest challenge was the 5-meter-thick gravel layer, which had to be penetrated on two sides. To get through this, this layer was injected with grout.”
