Croonwolter&dros again responsible for maintenance of Utrecht bridges and locks

The Municipality of Utrecht has awarded Croonwolter&dros the contract for the 'maintenance of E/W installations of bridges and locks'. For a maximum of six years Croonwolter&dros will carry out the preventive and corrective maintenance of 14 moveable bridges and 1 lock in the Municipality of Utrecht.

By carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on the installations, we ensure the optimum flow of road and water traffic with reliable and safe installations. Croonwolter&dros organises its fault repair organization so that specialists are on site quickly when a fault occurs. But we are also focusing on reducing the number of technical failures. This minimises disruption to traffic.

Back from the road

The moveable objects in the Municipality of Utrecht are familiar territory for Croonwolter&dros: from 2000 to 2007 we also carried out maintenance on these objects. In January 2022 we will start preventive and corrective maintenance on the bridges and locks. Together with the Municipality of Utrecht, we are working towards a more professional management system.

Reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions

The Municipality of Utrecht is striving for a circular economy, zero emissions and clean transport. Croonwolter&dros is also deploying electric transport and sustainable equipment for this assignment, which will limit the CO2 emissions of the mechanics.
