In most industrialized countries, large parts of the infrastructure were built in the 1960s and 1970s and reached a service life of 50 years. During this period, they were exposed not only to different load levels, but also to environmental influences that can cause degradation.
The safety of infrastrcuur works and the deterioration of the concrete from which they are constructed is of concern to our society, especially for structures older than 50 years.
A January 2021 UN report, "Aging Water Storage Infrastructure: An Emerging Global Risk," highlights this problem, as well as incidents such as the collapse of the Polcevera Bridge in Genoa, Italy, in 2018, and the recent collapse of the Champlain Towers South apartment building in Miami, Florida, in the U.S. on June 24, 2021.
Therefore, we are pleased to invite you to a free online webinar on the risks and concerns of aging infrastructures and the products, technologies and experiences that can be used to strengthen, repair, protect and waterproof them.
In this webinar, we will not only talk about the most traditional techniques for concrete rehabilitation, but we will also discuss state-of-the-art reinforcements with carbon fiber reinforced polymers and corrosion inhibitors to give structures a second life and ensure safety, proper function and durability.
We will show you in a live demo the use of our Online planning tool, which allows you to find the solution for your specific construction project in just 3 steps and from this a customized downloadable specification report including BIM objects, certificates and all product-related documentation.
This webinar will be conducted in English.
