The renovation of the Krammersluizen is one of the most extensive infrastructure projects currently underway. The renovation of the Krammer Lock Complex is much more than just a technical challenge. The lock complex forms a unique transition zone between saltwater and freshwater. For many fish species, it is essential that they be able to move between these two areas. In addition, there are many other (endangered) species of flora and fauna in and around the complex. That is why ecology plays an important role in the renovation, and Ara Adviesburo is steering the project in an ecologically sound direction throughout this large-scale project.
