If you have been active in the field of foundation and anchoring techniques for as long as De Vries Titan BV, then you are a company that infra construction Netherlands can count on. We speak with Hendrik van de Woestijne, Managing Director at this progressive company. What makes them stand out in the market? Hendrik talks passionately about their history and techniques.
"We are a sister company of the family business De Vries Werkendam. They have been active in civil engineering since the 1960s. In the late 1990s we started to develop techniques for foundations and anchors, then only for our own projects. We had the machines, the knowledge and the right people and then we also started doing some projects for third parties. De Vries Titan BV was born. Since then we have continued to develop and specialize with the positive result that we have become a major player in the field of foundations and anchoring."
De Vries Titan offers roughly two techniques: self-drilling systems (as anchors, anchor posts and soil nailing) and tubular systems (as tubular anchors and micro-piles). Ground nailing is a real problem solver for making an embankment steeper, for example. If there is too little ground surface available or if there is limited height, this innovative technique offers a perfect solution. Consider, for example, the raising of slopes under existing viaducts (if, for example, more lanes are required) or the stabilization of a soil body during an excavation without sheet piling or railroad embankments. For soil nailing, VTV Soilnailing has been established, this is a collaboration between De Vries Titan and Voets Gewapende Grond. As a result, VTV Soilnailing has all the expertise to carry out this type of project from start to finish. One thing is certain: At De Vries Titan they think in terms of solutions and that meets the needs of the market.
