New dealerships, multifunctional equipment, technical advice, and in-house innovations
Many contractors know Foundiz as a supplier of specialized foundation equipment. However, the company is increasingly positioning itself as a technical partner in foundation projects. New dealerships, a growing rental fleet, technical consulting, and in-house developments are expanding Foundiz’s role in foundation projects.
“We want to show that customers can come to us not only for a specific machine, but also—and especially—when they have a foundation-related issue,” says Director Patrick van der Schaaf. “We advise them on which technology and equipment are best suited for the job.”
This trend is reflected in the product lineup. Foundiz represents various international manufacturers and is expanding its product range to offer clients suitable solutions for an ever-increasing number of foundation techniques.
The most recent expansion is Foundiz’s exclusive dealership for PTC Fayat in the Benelux. With this, Foundiz is adding free-hanging hydraulic vibroblocks and vibro-lances to its product line. Vibratory hammers are used for installing steel sheet piles and tubular piles, while vibratory lances are used for soil improvement through compaction and the installation of gravel piles.
In addition, Foundiz has long supplied equipment from Dawson Construction Plant, Soilmec, and Beretta Alfredo. Dawson is known, among other things, for its attachment vibrators, several models of which are also part of the rental fleet. This allows customers to test the machines in practice before deciding to purchase them. Beretta complements the product range with compact foundation machines, geotechnical drilling machines, and lightweight attachment masts, which allow an excavator to be easily converted into a versatile foundation machine.
Versatility is also key within Foundiz’s rental fleet. The compact Soilmec SR-30 Eagle is a good example of this. This foundation machine is suitable for a wide range of foundation techniques and can be configured for screw piles or, in combination with a side-grip vibrating block, for installing steel pipes, sheet piles, and H-sections. Thanks to the integrated Drilling Mate System (DMS), operational data is immediately recorded and monitored, while the system simultaneously contributes to safe operations.
In addition to its existing product line, Foundiz is also investing in in-house developments. Patrick: “We are currently working on the Foundiz E-PRESS, a modular sheet pile driving machine with a zero-emission power pack on a crawler track that offers advantages over conventional sheet pile driving machines. Thanks to a certain degree of modularity, the machine can be easily adapted to a wide range of project specifications. The zero-emission power pack will also be available separately for other applications. The machine is being developed under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management’s ”Clean and Emission-Free Construction Equipment” (SSEB) subsidy program and will feature, among other things, the new Smart Piling Mode (SPM), which further enhances efficiency and ease of use.”
It demonstrates Foundiz's ambition not only to supply machinery, but also to actively contribute to the further development of soil and foundation engineering.
