Exotic requests lead to unique solutions

Since 2019, EasyStairs has been hard at work in the construction and infrastructure sector with its modular solutions for safely bridging different heights or slopes. "We are definitely a niche player and therefore regularly receive the most unusual requests. And that not infrequently leads to unique practical solutions," says Bouwe Bölger, owner of EasyStairs with appropriate pride.

For the infrastructure sector, talus stairs are by far the most popular.

Creating safe and sustainable access at height or in a construction pit, that's where it all started at EasyStairs. "We are supplier (and renter) of modular and connectable stairs as an alternative to the wooden construction ladder that ends up in the trash after every project," Bölger clarifies. By now, many well-known parties in the construction and infra sectors gratefully use EasyStairs' products. For the infrastructure sector, the talus stairs are by far the most popular. Last year, 250 meters of talus stairs were rented out for a seawall improvement project. "Companies now only need one staircase for multiple projects and no longer waste wood or steel to (re)make a temporary staircase. And that is appreciated, also from a sustainability perspective. In recent years in particular, our rental department has been experiencing strong growth."

At the request of customers, EasyStairs keeps expanding the program. "For example, we have recently included loading and unloading platforms in our range, and we are now working on a pilot for a so-called suspended stair tower. The latter is truly unique, and intended for entering a construction site. The advantage is that the stair tower does not rest on the bottom of the pit and can be further extended as the pit is excavated deeper. We are currently working with several parties to implement a this solution. Our stair towers are always modular in design anyway and can easily be moved (by crane)."
