Doka awarded EcoVadis Silver

Doka awarded EcoVadis Silver

Doka has been awarded Silver by EcoVadis, the internationally recognized sustainability evaluator. This places Doka among the top 15% of all globally rated companies, once again underscoring its commitment to responsible and forward-looking business practices throughout the value chain.

“The EcoVadis Silver demonstrates that Doka is among the industry leaders when it comes to sustainability. This is an important signal for our customers and partners, who increasingly value transparent and verifiable sustainability performance,” said Robert Hauser, CEO of Doka. EcoVadis is the world's leading sustainability rating provider, managing a network of more than 150,000 rated companies. In the 2026 rating, Doka is among the top 15% of all rated companies.

EcoVadis assesses companies against international sustainability standards in the areas of environment, working conditions and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, covering a wide range of non-financial management systems. “In the environmental category, Doka achieved an excellent score of 91 out of 100 points. This puts us among the top, representing only one percent of all companies assessed in our sector1,” said Julia Weber, head of Sustainability at Doka. “EcoVadis assesses how consistently sustainability is integrated into processes, and the silver shows that we have made significant progress in this area,” adds Weber. Doka also received consistently positive ratings in all other categories. These results include occupational health and safety measures such as noise reduction in production, as well as training and awareness programs on compliance and information security for all employees.

Leading on all fronts

A key driver behind the strong environmental performance is Doka's clear commitment to science-based climate targets. As the first company in the formwork and scaffolding industry, Doka joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in late 2024, sending a strong signal for measurable and transparent climate action. To achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, the company is focusing on two key levers: decarbonization and the circular economy. This includes expanding renewable energy sources, installing additional photovoltaic systems at its sites, electrifying its vehicle fleet and continuously reducing emissions throughout the value chain. As part of its circular economy approach, Doka focuses on sustainable products and a proven rental model, including repair and refurbishment services for formwork and scaffolding. This ensures that materials remain in circulation for as long as possible and that resources are used efficiently.

This approach is also reflected in product development: new products such as the Xlife upper formwork panel contain recycled materials and are designed for repeated reuse on construction sites. As a result, Doka is developing products that not only provide economic value but also make a measurable contribution to reducing emissions. An important basis for these measures is consistent data transparency: Doka records its global carbon footprint for all sites and already provides Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data for more than 7,000 products. This forms the basis for informed, data-driven decisions - both internally and for customers.

As an internationally recognized platform, EcoVadis ensures transparency and comparability in the assessment of sustainability performance. For Doka, this award is therefore not only a confirmation of the progress made so far, but also an important signal to customers and partners who increasingly rely on reliable and transparent sustainability standards.
