The Leica MC1 3D machine control system is now officially available as an aftermarket option for Hyundai HD130A series bulldozers, with support for all 2D and 3D configurations.
Hyundai Construction Equipment and Leica Geosystems, a part of Hexagon, are now offering the Leica MC1 3D machine control system as an aftermarket kit for Hyundai HD130A series dozers. This enables contractors to improve grading accuracy and reduce rework and material waste, while seamlessly integrating advanced machine control into existing workflows.
Building on a long-standing partnership, this aftermarket kit supports all 2D and 3D configurations for bulldozers, allowing Hyundai operators to take full advantage of advanced machine control without compromise. Whether it’s in-cab configurations, dual laser systems, total positioning stations (TPS), or dual GNSS configurations on the blade, operators can choose the solution that best suits their job site and workflow.
“By expanding the Leica MC1 3D machine control system to our HD130A bulldozers, we’re offering our customers even greater flexibility on the job site and a clear path to implementing advanced machine control in their Hyundai fleet,” According to Peter Sebold, Product Manager at Hyundai Construction Equipment.
The Leica MC1 3D system provides bulldozer operators with real-time guidance for excavation and backfilling based on the design model. This reduces guesswork and minimizes the need for rework. Contractors benefit from increased productivity, consistent accuracy, and the ability to achieve the desired grade with fewer passes.
Upgrading has never been easier. Through experienced service teams and dealer networks, Hyundai dozers can be equipped with the Leica MC1 3D aftermarket kit as a ready-to-use retrofit solution. The solution integrates quickly into existing digital workflows and minimizes downtime and costs.
“By expanding Leica MC1 3D support to Hyundai HD130A dozers, the partnership further increases the availability of advanced machine control. This enables contractors to standardize their digital workflows across their fleet and benefit from Leica Geosystems” broader ecosystem, including Leica ConX for cloud-based collaboration and user-friendly staking solutions for foremen,” said Martin Verdurmen, president of the Machine Control Division at Leica Geosystems.
