Nederhoff invests in four Liebherr MK 73-3.1 tower cranes

According to Sjoerd Nederhoff of the crane company of the same name, with branches in Gouda, Vianen and, since last year, Rotterdam, the new Liebherr MK 73-3.1 cranes "are certainly compact for a mobile crane. With a length of 13.8 meters and a width of 2.75 meters, they are ideal for tighter locations."

Like the 4-axle variant, the MK 88 Plus, the 3-axle MK 73-3.1 allows you to position the superstructure cab along the entire length of the mast. With the camera in the trolley, this means the operator always has an optimal view of the work and the load. Says Nederhoff, "Once on site, the crane can be erected within 15 minutes and in standard configuration has a hook height of over 26 meters and a reach of almost 39 meters."

For jobs at a lower height, the Liebherrs can do their work with one mast section retracted, keeping the highest point below 23 meters. Higher than the standard 26 meters is also possible, by the way. "The crane can raise up to 45 degrees, making the hook height as high as 51 meters," says Dr. H. L. The biggest improvement, according to Nederhoff, is the ability to operate completely electrically and thus emission-free and almost silent. The Liebherr requires only a 32-ampere connection for this purpose. "In addition to the 45-meter Liebherr MK 88 Plus and 40-meter hybrid Spierings Cityboy SK487-AT3, this is a valuable addition to our range of cranes that can operate electrically."
