"If you look closely, you will see us everywhere: along the road, on construction sites and at festivals." Speaking is Pasqualle Seijkens, HR manager of BUKO Infrasupport. "We are a service company in construction and civil engineering and provide temporary traffic measures with which we ensure the safety of road workers and road users. We are a strong and close-knit company where we work together for our customers. Where everyone is important.
The employees of BUKO Infrasupport? A mix of young and old, from starters to experienced professionals. "But all are hard-working and make an important daily contribution to the safety of road users and road workers. We don't hold endless meetings, we prefer to get to work. Of course with the best materials and equipment, because only then can you do your job properly."
"Doing the ordinary things unusually well, that's what attracts customers, and it's the reason they come back. That's how we grew into what we are today," Seijkens says. "Besides taking good care of our customers, we also find it very important to take good care of our colleagues. So we are not only careful about our equipment, but also about our people!"
"We do that by looking at who you are, how you are in life, what you bring with you in terms of knowledge and experience, or just what you still want to learn. Because you learn every day and if you are motivated, we give you plenty of opportunity to do so." Seijkens explains that BUKO has purchased a Learning Management System in that context. "A well-stocked knowledge base where colleagues can search for information, as well as take training, courses, Good Habitz training and on-the-job training at no cost. We have also introduced walk-in days, where colleagues from the office go into the field with us and performers in another region take a look around, in order to become smarter and better together."
Seijkens: "You get plenty of room to develop at BUKO. In addition, research has shown that colleagues experience great freedom at BUKO, despite the tight schedules and busy work schedule. This really lies in the approachable, flexible nature of our organization, combined with the fact that you can organize your job yourself, within the set frameworks of course. Of course, freedom goes hand in hand with a certain amount of responsibility, but if there is the right balance, you'll be just fine. We always say: if you are good for BUKO, then we are good for you."
