With Ms. Marion Derckx, the Dutch Ambassador to Australia in Canberra and Mr. Matthew E.K. Neuhaus, the Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands in The Hague as witnesses, SIS Sustainable Infrastructure Systems and InfraCore Company today signed an agreement to establish the InfraCore® licensing technology in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This special partnership offers wonderful opportunities for both companies. SIS will not only increase its market share in Australia and New Zealand, but with its vast knowledge of the engineering and realization of major infrastructure projects, it will also facilitate the growth of the InfraCore® stimulate technology.
The Australian government was represented at the signing ceremony by Mr. Shane Rattenburry, Australian Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability, and Mr. Brendan Smyth, Australian Commissioner for International Engagement.
The InfraCore® technology was developed in the Netherlands and has proven itself worldwide in more than 1,100 heavily loaded bridges and lock gates. These have been produced by InfraCore® Inside certified manufacturer FiberCore Europe (Rotterdam, NL) and delivered and installed around the world. The InfraCore® technology offers a standardized and modular structural approach. This enables proven and validated cost-effective (both OPEX, and CAPEX) precast composite structures that are easily scalable, lightweight, durable, maintenance-free, heavy-duty, damage-tolerant and load-bearing. The bridges last more than 100 years and are easy to install due to their light weight; they require minimal foundations.
SIS delivers sustainable infrastructure projects to clients around the world in the civil infrastructure, building & construction, oil & gas, mining, aviation, marine, marine & ports, transportation & logistics and agriculture sectors. Based on strategic distribution capabilities with headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia, SIS has manufacturing partnerships in Australia, China, North America and Europe in addition to distribution partnerships in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. As InfraCore® Inside certified manufacturer will produce SIS precast composite bridges with InfraCore® Inside for their region.
SIS Associate Director Engineering Luigi Rossi said, "This collaboration is also about reflecting the ethos of the company; to take environmental sustainability to another level in infrastructure. This will significantly reduce freight costs and lead times for our customers and will revolutionize the way bridges are manufactured and installed in our region. "
InfraCore Company develops and markets new, cross-sector, product-market combinations based on InfraCore® Inside in collaboration with strategic partners in the constructive marine, offshore, oil & gas, energy and other industries worldwide. The InfraCore® technology has already been implemented in the EU-SUREbridge project (renovation and upgrading of concrete bridges with composite decks) and in the EU-Ramses project (heavy ship decks, rudders for ocean-going vessels and interior walls on cruise ships).
InfraCore founder/CEO Simon De Jong: "It is quite an honor to know that our high-tech InfraCore® technology is now represented by SIS in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Our collaboration will have a huge impact on the future of bridge building in this part of the world."
