Crawler telescopic crane perfect alternative to mobile (lattice boom) crane

Also in infra works, when you have to pass under bridges, railroad lines or high voltage cables, the equipment must be flexibly deployable. "In such cases, the crawler telescopic crane is a perfect alternative to the mobile crane," says Rienk Nadema, Commercial Manager Sennebogen Cranes at Van den Heuvel Werkendam (VDH).

Since 2017, VDH has been the exclusive distributor of Sennebogen Crane Line products, consisting of lattice boom cranes and telescopic cranes. Sennebogen uses innovative technologies for its high-quality products. "European machines with Deutsche gründlichkeit and ultimate performance," according to Nadema. "Add VDH's expertise and service and the picture is complete."

Custom made and to standard

"We not only sell reliable brands, but are able to adapt them customer- or project-specific or design and build high-quality machines. Of course, we are also the address for spare parts and expert service." VDH distinguishes itself by responding innovatively to changing market conditions and specific customer needs. Years of experience, the use of modern techniques and careful engineering contributes to the best possible interpretation of the customer demand, which we then translate into the most appropriate solution. "A raised galvanized driver's cab? A sea-port coating because it is a coastal project? A sliding table on the machine for foundation work? All extras VDH can provide," says Nadema. "We engineer and construct it, supported by the Sennebogen factory and CE marked according to the applicable standards, such as EN16228 for foundation techniques."

Crawler telescopic crane

Sennebogen's crawler telescopic crane is compact and robust, making it ideal for the GWW. Easy to transport on a flatbed trailer and once in the field immediately ready for use. "Stamping is not necessary, which also makes a set-up inspection unnecessary. Of course, the crane is not only efficient but also safe and meets the strictest standards, even when we have modified the machine," Nadema states.

Pinning and moving with load

Thanks to the full power boom, the hydraulic boom is extended in one go without pinning, even with load. It is even possible to move the crane with a load. "You won't be able to do that with a wheel crane," Nadema knows. The boom can be retracted as needed for the job, making it more comfortable to move under bridges or power lines, for example. A big advantage for the GWW market. The latest model, the Sennebogen 6103 (a 100-ton crawler crane) will be available from mid-2021. "Like all new models, this type is also equipped with a Stage V engine for cleaner, quieter and more efficient work. The machines are maintenance-friendly and can be equipped with various attachments." Nadema concludes, "VDH is adding yet another
beautiful faucet to the range."
