Kok Lexmond is the first company in the Netherlands to put a Develon DX360LC-9 Smart crawler excavator into service. This delivery is part of an agreement under which two more machines of the same type will be delivered in the coming months. Kok Lexmond is a family-owned business with over 45 years of experience in civil engineering, earthworks, road and waterway construction, and recycling. Operating from four locations in the Netherlands, the company maintains a fleet of approximately 150 to 200 machines. In addition to infrastructure projects, Kok Lexmond specializes in on-site recycling and supports clients throughout the entire project, from preparation to completion.

The DX360LC-9 Smart is part of the new Develon Series 9, a generation of excavators developed using fully electronic hydraulics (Full Electric Hydraulic, FEH) and integrated intelligent control systems. According to Develon, this technology is designed to deliver higher productivity, lower fuel consumption, and more precise control.
The 37-metric-ton crawler excavator is powered by the Develon DX08V engine, which delivers 227 kW (304 pk) at 1,800 rpm (SAE J1995). The maximum torque is 1,230 kgf·m at 1,300 rpm. The machine has a maximum digging depth of 7,512 mm and a maximum digging reach of 11,113 mm, both with the standard boom and dipper stick configuration.
For Kok Lexmond, performance and efficiency were the main reasons for choosing the DX360LC-9. Among other things, the machine is used for work with breaker attachments as part of the company’s recycling operations. The company currently owns seventeen Develon and Doosan machines. With the delivery of this first DX360LC-9 and the order for two more units, the fleet is being further expanded with the latest generation of excavators. The guidance provided by ELM Bouwmachines, the authorized Develon dealer for the southwestern Netherlands, also played a role in the investment. ELM Bouwmachines conducted a demonstration of the new Series 9 and supported Kok Lexmond during the selection process. In addition, the technical support, the after-sales service, and the factory warranty of five years or 7,500 operating hours were key factors in the decision.
“With this delivery, the first DX360LC-9 is now operational in the Netherlands. We are proud that Kok Lexmond immediately opted for three machines from the new Series 9. This confirms their confidence in this new generation of excavators and in the support provided by ELM Bouwmachines,” said a spokesperson for Develon.

Recycling
Kok Lexmond operates ten mobile crushing plants daily, each of which processes an average of 2,000 metric tons of material. The resulting material is processed into certified recycled construction materials for reuse in the construction and infrastructure sectors in the Netherlands and Belgium. By expanding its fleet of machinery, Kok Lexmond aims to further increase its capacity while continuing to invest in efficiency, sustainability, and a high level of service for its clients.
