Piltec is also off to a successful start with its rental fleet. “We have one or more models available for each type of equipment, allowing us to respond flexibly to our customers” needs. What’s more, customers can rent machines for a single day, or just as easily for one or two years,“ explains Piliego. ”There are three key reasons behind this success. First, renting lowers the investment barrier. A second advantage is the flexibility that a rental option offers for projects with a short lead time. In fact, the availability of specific equipment is a crucial factor in a tight construction schedule. Finally, lease-to-own options have proven to be particularly popular. This allows customers to first see if a machine meets their expectations before committing to a purchase. If the customer decides to buy the machine, a significant portion of the rent already paid is deducted from the purchase price.”
