Versatile support for infrastructure projects 

Bunnik Verhuur en Grondverzet is all about short lines, versatility and customization. The company is involved in a variety of projects in the ground, road and hydraulic engineering (GWW) sector and beyond. From laying heat pipelines and assisting in large infrastructure projects to renovating entire city districts, Bunnik makes sure that the equipment and the people are in the right place.

The energy transition is increasingly finding its way to the construction site, notes Perry Bunnik, business manager of Bunnik Rental and Earthmoving. "On more and more projects there is a demand for sustainable solutions. We are responding to this, including with our Powerboxes: powerful batteries with which you can, for example, power a shed for three days or recharge electrical equipment." The company now has twelve Powerboxes with a capacity of 2,500 kWh each. "Our solar chains are also in demand. They are completely self-sufficient and equipped with solar panels and a battery."

Support for major infrastructure projects

The Bunnik Grondverzet division has been a fixture for various infrastructure contractors for many years. On the A27 between Everdingen and Hooipolder, for example, Bunnik assists construction combination ALSÉÉN with all kinds of equipment and earthwork crews. "For example, we are assisting in the construction of reinforced soil structures, including a crawler crane, mobile crane, 7-ton roller, vibratory plates and light trucks. Our cranes are all equipped with GPS steering, essential for maximum precision and efficiency. We also assisted in the retracting of the underpass and three of our gators are driving on the project for the logistics of small equipment and personnel on site."

In the city: from heat pipeline to sewer work

Bunnik is also active in urban areas. For the company Nijkamp, the company is supporting the construction of heat pipes for district heating on the Hofplein in Rotterdam. "A challenging project in the middle of the city, for which we are supplying, among other things, two mobile cranes, vibratory plates, pumps, well pumps, trench shoring and a mobile deco unit. A project that actually includes everything," Bunnik acknowledges. "And for KWS we are working in the Agniesebuurt in Rotterdam on the renewal of the sewers and the redevelopment of the neighborhood. Here, among other things, our 16-ton mobile crane with vacuum system is proving its added value. When the groundwork is finished, we can use the same crane to place the tires and tiles right away."

More than just GWW

Although the GWW sector is the main business, Bunnik is also increasingly supplying equipment to events. "Most recently in Amsterdam: three generators, five light trucks and two gators for an event. A nice touch during the vacation period," according to Bunnik. "Our gators, available in two- and four-person versions, are widely used for transporting people and equipment on larger (construction) sites."
