HKV continues to grow while maintaining character

For 50 years, HKV has been steadily building its position in the infrastructure sector. They may not shout that loudly, but they just do. "Despite our ambition and growth, we do so with attention to quality, fast service and personal customer contact. Because that's what it's all about for us," says Bert Oomen, senior account manager at HKV. With a new embroidery workshop and its own production line for traffic signs, among other things, the company is convincingly pursuing that line.

Maintaining policy and core values

"We have really gained momentum over the past six years," Oomen says. "The arrival of the branches in Tilburg and Vlaardingen has increased our clout, but the common thread has remained unchanged. The core values of HKV - listening carefully, thinking along, being involved, giving personal advice - still apply. Especially now that we have grown larger." Fast delivery times and the best service also remain policy at HKV.

From fit to logo

One of the most visible innovations within HKV is the embroidery and repair workshop. "We took that step to raise the service level towards our customers even further," says Oomen. "You can now not only order corporate clothing from us, but also have it embroidered, altered or repaired directly. That may sound like a detail, but for customers in the infra it makes a world of difference. They don't have time to wait. So we arrange it in-house, without detours."

In-house production = faster switching

Another step: assembling traffic signs in-house. "We had been making vehicle advertising, signs, flags and banners for some time, but we also invested heavily in a printer, laminator and cutting table to produce the sign-faces of traffic signs ourselves," Oomen explains. "Although the aluminum still comes from outside, we design and assemble everything ourselves. This allows us to switch quickly, remain flexible, provide customization on request and keep prices competitive. Moreover, we monitor quality completely in-house."

Stronger in a turbulent world

With 56 people in house, HKV has grown into a serious player. "Thanks to their years of experience and deep-rooted knowledge of the industry, we offer our clients not only quality, but also security," Oomen says proudly of the team. "With the arrival of Roy Fuijk as general manager (2023) and Martijn Jacobs as commercial director (2025), we are ready for the future. We are taking our services to an even higher level - without losing sight of our core values."
