Cluysenaar Crane Rental from Loosdrecht has purchased three new machines from HSC Cranes in recent years. The SCX550A-3, SCX800A-3 and the recently commissioned SCX1000A-3 strengthen the machine fleet and underline Cluysenaar's long-term vision of sustainable and efficient lifting solutions. The cranes were supplied by Hitachi Netherlands, exclusive importer of HSC Cranes in the Netherlands.
Cluysenaar Crane Rental was founded over 45 years ago by Jacques Cluysenaar as an earthmoving company and also started renting crawler cranes in 1993. In almost three decades, the company has grown into a prominent player in the Dutch construction industry. "Our customers rely on machines that are reliable, efficient and flexibly deployable," reveals director André Cluysenaar. "This is why we have been working with HSC Cranes for many years. The quality and performance of these machines perfectly match our requirements and the wishes of our customers."
Cluysenaar has an extensive fleet of HSC Cranes crawler cranes in various tonnages. The latest additions to the equipment fleet reinforce the diversity and provide additional flexibility for a variety of projects. According to André, choosing the SCXA-3 series was a logical step: "The SCX550A-3, SCX800A-3 and SCX1000A-3 are very powerful machines with a compact design and excellent lifting capacities. Especially in urban areas, where space is often limited, they come into their own perfectly thanks to their short turning radius and good maneuverability."
The SCX550A-3 has a maximum lifting capacity of 55 tons and is ideal for medium-sized construction and infrastructure projects. The 80-ton SCX800A-3 offers additional lifting capacity and stability, ideal for bridge construction and steel structures, for example. The SCX1000A-3 is the most powerful of the three and can move loads of up to 100 tons. Thanks to innovative winch technology and an optimized ballast system, it delivers maximum performance in heavy lifting tasks. For even heavier applications, HSC Cranes optionally supplies a 180- or 275-ton crawler crane.
Cluysenaar Crane Rental's fleet includes eight of its own cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 55 to 125 tons. "Even for heavier lifting jobs we don't turn our hands around," André assures. "Up to a maximum of 250 tons, we can manage quite well and we often hire such a crane." At the request of customers, sustainability and emission reduction play a prominent role when investing in new equipment. "HSC Cranes' SCXA-3 series is equipped with advanced Stage V engines, eco winches and an idle stop system to minimize fuel consumption and emissions."
This fits perfectly with the crane rental company's vision of providing future-proof lifting solutions. HSC Cranes' machines are frequently used for lifting jobs in residential construction, hoisting industrial structures or as an auxiliary crane in foundation works. The SCX1000A-3 delivered in October 2024 experienced its debut in the realization of a large-scale apartment complex in Stolwijk. André: "This required precision when lifting heavy structures in a relatively tight environment. A job well done for this robust 100-tonner."
The cranes are equipped with modern technologies, such as a lifting load camera and an adjustable cab, which not only increases safety, but also ensures optimal visibility of lifting operations. "They are true Japanese quality products, which are well thought out and offer plenty of comfort plus ease of operation," André knows. "The compact construction also offers good transport options. Modern Stage V power sources also ensure efficient fuel consumption, so that the cranes also score highly in terms of sustainability. That's the future after all."
Cluysenaar Crane Rental and Hitachi Nederland have a long and solid partnership. The two parties have been doing business since the early years. "When we were still mainly active in earthmoving, we already purchased several Hitachi mobile excavators, such as the EX130 and later the FH130W and ZX130W," André recalls. "Our first crane in 1993 was also a Hitachi, namely a KH180. Those machines have always run satisfactorily, so when we wanted to rejuvenate our crane fleet, we pretty soon ended up back with this Japanese quality brand."
With the latest SCXA-3 models, HSC Cranes is committed to maximum performance, durability and safety. Through continuous innovations in technology and efficiency, the machines continue to meet the highest industry standards. Besides reliability of the cranes, the service of Hitachi Netherlands also plays an important role in the choice of HSC Cranes. "From advice on purchase to delivery and after-sales, everything is arranged professionally and smoothly," says André. "The confidence there is in the Hitachi organization means that we are happy to continue working with them in the future."
