Bunnik Rental and Earthmoving has been a total supplier to contractors in the infrastructure sector for many decades. Trench shoring, drainage and dirty water pumps, compaction equipment, sewer containers, as well as wheel dumpers, midi- and mobile cranes, road plates and even lighting. The family business rents almost everything, including operation if desired. Bunnik also continues to invest continuously in making its machinery and pumping equipment more sustainable and expanding.
Last year, the Bunnik Rental division invested heavily in the purchase of new pumps, including fuel-efficient Stage V copies and a series of electric well and dirty water pumps. "Furthermore, we have invested in battery packs," says business manager Perry Bunnik. "With such a battery pack, a diesel generator only needs to run for 4 hours instead of the intended 24 hours. That still saves 20 hours of fuel. In addition, from now on we also rent out energy-neutral shelters, completely equipped with solar panels and a battery pack."
The Bunnik Earthmoving Division has been a fixture for various infrastructure contractors for many years. "Because we supply everything from one source, it saves the contractor the necessary administrative costs and coordination. He doesn't have to deal with three companies, but finds everything under one roof at Bunnik Verhuur en Grondverzet," is how Perry outlines the company's added value. On the A24 Blankenburg connection, Bunnik Verhuur was a "family member" for many years. "Where we started making construction roads over six years ago and did a lot of earthmoving over the years, there is now a beautiful Rozenburg interchange and A24 highway. When I drive over it I am proud that we were allowed to support this special project."
Not infrequently, an infrastructure project presents specific challenges. "That's when our specialized equipment comes in handy," Perry knows. "For example, our Bunnik Grondverzet division has long-boom cranes, among other things. Or what about our latest acquisition, a mobile Liebherr 916 wheel excavator equipped with 3D GPS from Leica. We can also connect a vacuum pump to this machine for machine laying paving, tiles and tires. It's a very complete machine that we can use for all kinds of purposes." Other Bunnik machines commonly used on infrastructure projects include multi-purpose all-terrain vehicles (gators) for transporting tradesmen and equipment, as well as wheel dumpers, track dumpers and compaction rollers.
For some time now, Bunnik Rental has also expanded its product range to include road plates. "We are definitely a total supplier for contractors in the infrastructure sector. Whether it's a vibratory plate, light truck, trench shuttering, crane, shovel, well or dirty water pump, one phone call is all it takes and the customer is taken care of. And of any type of machine or pump, we always have an electric alternative available."
