Pronar expands recycling machinery offering

Pronar expands range of recycling machines

Van Herwijnen Machinery is importer of the Polish brand Pronar, which markets a variety of innovative recycling machines. Director Jimmy van Herwijnen talks about some new machines, with which the manufacturer hopes to conquer the Dutch market this fall.

Also new to the Pronar range is the MPT 30/1, a conveyor with a length of no less than 30 meters, which can pour out up to 13 meters in height.

"A great first is the Pronar MRW 2.75," states Van Herwijnen. "This machine is just out and is the smallest double-roller shredder that Pronar is building now. It has a Volvo Penta engine with 280 hp and the machine weighs 17,000 kg. The reducer can be delivered on hook arm or track undercarriage."

Van Herrewijnen then lists some unique features: "The MRW 2.75 has very easy-to-change rollers. The complete cassette can be quickly exchanged for another type of roller. This makes the machine multi-deployable on various waste products. It has an a-synchronous gearbox. Thus, the rollers do not necessarily rotate synchronously, which increases throughput. Furthermore, the shredder is equipped with a long discharge conveyor, remote control, has a low feed height and is easy to transport due to its compact sizes."

Conveyor

Also new to the Pronar range is the MPT 30/1, a conveyor belt no less than 30 meters long. Van Herwijnen: "This is a lattice construction and it is a very impressive machine. Thanks to its length of 30 meters, the belt plunges to a height of 13 meters and therefore large capacities of material can be stored. The machine weighs 16,000 kg and stands on a tracked undercarriage, so it can maneuver easily. Also for transport, the machine can be folded on both sides, so it can be moved with ordinary transport. As with the other models, this type also comes with a CAT Stage V engine, which has 75 hp."

Wood chipper

Useful for green businesses is the first hand-fed wood chipper manufactured by Pronar: the Pronar MR 15. This is a towed car trailer model weighing 750 kg. The chipper is powered by a 993cc B&S Vanguard EFI power unit, which is good for 37 horsepower. "The MR 15 is a light shredder, but also a powerful one," states Van Herwijnen. "The construction of the MR-15 shredder is based on a single-axle vehicle with a maximum weight of 750 kg. This allows registration on the road based on approval in the O1 trailer category (with a maximum loaded mass not exceeding 750 kg). Anyone with a car license can therefore take it on the road."

Basic drum sieve

The Pronar MPB 18.47/1 concerns a 'Basic' version drum screen. Van Herwijnen: "The 18.47 stands for the drum diameter and length, just like any other Pronar sieve. So this machine has a drum length of 4.7 meters and a diameter of 1.8 meters. This is a simpler and cheaper version of the regular 18.47. Thus, the machine cannot be transported on the road, but is intended for customers where it remains on site for 99%. The coarse fraction belt can be placed on the left or right. The fine fraction runs under the filling bunker and is unloaded at the front. So this machine is quite compact in terms of space. The engine is at the front and can be turned 90 degrees outwards, making it very accessible for maintenance. So an ideal machine for the smaller processors who want to run new for 30% of the new price of a conventional MPB 18.47."
