Since 2016, Roemer Maatvoering has been involved in a wide variety of projects to measure and set out structures, artworks and objects in the (rail) infrastructure sector. According to owner Ruel Roemer due to the flexible nature of the organization and the translation of issues into a practical solution.
Roemer Maatvoering is making quite a name for itself (and the railroad) in the infrastructure sector. That is also one of the company's USPs. "Practical insight and experience from similar projects means that we always offer the best fitting solution for a client," says Roemer. "With regularity, we realize optimizations. This is because our strength lies not only in thinking along, but precisely in coming up with practical solutions to an issue. At least, that is how clients experience our services. The diversity of projects that we have measured and implemented for various clients has provided us with the necessary expertise. Knowledge that comes in handy for new issues."
An example of a recent project to which Roemer Maatvoering contributed together with fellow company Brandsma Geometrie is the Venlo Rail Connection Rail Terminal (VSRT) at Greenport Venlo. "In an 8-hour out-of-service period, Dura Vermeer had to place no less than eighteen foundation blocks for catenary portals. It was up to us to stake out the exact locations and heights the day before. In close consultation with our client, we drew up a plan of action. After all, there was little margin (read: overrun). Through proper coordination in advance and good coordination on site, the job was completed nicely on time."
