Steel ... extremely suitable for reuse

Steel tubes, beams, sheet piles and plates are often used in the foundation of construction projects, both in civil engineering and non-residential construction. As permanent or temporary application in the form of piles, screw piles, combi piles, purlins, struts ... After completion of the work - whether or not after some processing - they are suitable for reuse in other projects.

Flexibility, quality and customization

"Our first choice, surplus lots and used materials can be machined to customer specifications into complete foundation piles whether or not fitted with drilling points, lances, sheet pile locks, conservation and so on," says Jan den Brok of Swanenberg Iron Group. "Through intensive contact with customers through short lines, clients are aware of what dimensions are available and can take this into account in the decision-making process for a project. When required, materials are delivered including documentation-such as certificates, destructive and non-destructive testing-full traceability." The welding facilities are set up entirely according to EN 1090: working in accordance with EXC3 is no problem for Swanenberg. The new blasting and preservation hall was recently put into operation, completing the package. "Unburdening the client, we become a co-player in the project," says Den Brok. "Delivery, production, preservation, storage and transport, all in one hand."

Sustainability

Because properly conditioned steel retains the same property as new, it can be used multiple times," says Den Brok. "You don't consume steel, you use it!" That's why Swanenberg offers both new and used steel pipes for a wide variety of applications, possibly with buy-back guarantees. "Reduction of CO₂-emissions by using used or surplus materials, environmental gains and more economical purchasing: a win-win situation for the client."

Projects

Directly or indirectly, Swanenberg has supplied piles, bored piles, combi piles, struts, purlins and support structures to numerous projects in the Netherlands and far beyond. These are usually no longer visible when the project is completed and are located deep underground: "the foundation. Den Brok says, "When I'm on the road, I think with every work of art: 'What did we deliver here again?' Whether the projects are large or small,  they were always carried out with the same care and as agreed."

In addition to supplying pipes, beams and plates, Swanenberg Iron Group rents out steel road plates and dragline bulkheads in various sizes. If desired, transported and, if necessary, laid out with our own cars equipped with cranes.
