With over 30 years of experience, Duport Lubricare is a specialist in biodegradable hydraulic oils and lubricants for various industries. Back then, it was ahead of its time. But even today, the family business likes to take steps forward. For example, all its oils are biodegradable and PFAS-free and it is setting its sights on biodegradable grease.
"The right high-quality oil extends the life of (heavy) machinery AND the machines require less maintenance," says Bernie Dunnewind, owner and director of Duport Lubricare. Duport Lubricare is part of Duport BV, which was founded in 1977 by brothers Henk and Jan Dunnewind. Duport develops, manufactures and imports advanced high-tech fertilizers and agricultural machinery. As an extension of this, Duport Lubricare was created. "We are the official dealer within the Netherlands of the biodegradable MOTOREX oils. In addition to sustainability, MOTOREX oils have the important advantage of being PFAS-free. This is expected to become a requirement in more and more industries in the foreseeable future. Another important advantage is that these oils are miscible with other biodegradable oils. So suppose as a company you want to switch to MOTOREX's PFAS-free oil, you can simply mix it with your current biodegradable hydraulic oils."
Dunnewind also sees an increasing demand from companies that are (partly) switching to electric machines. "If you use electric machines, it is quite logical that you also use biodegradable lubricants. Especially if you're working in sensitive natural areas. Wherever machinery is worked, grease and oil is always leaked, which then ends up in the ground or in wastewater. All the more important that the oil or grease is biodegradable. For example, all of the Forestry Commission's (forestry) machines operate on MOTOREX oils and lubricants."
