With the acquisition of Tubex BV last year, Terracon Funderingstechniek has further strengthened its position in the market. The foundation specialist offers a wide range of solutions for small or limited spaces to large and complex foundation issues, and can handle all types of pile systems. This always results in the best solution for projects in industry, petrochemicals, data centers, energy transition, and the rail and civil engineering environment..
Terracon Funderingstechniek is a 100% subsidiary of Strukton, but operates completely independently, emphasizes director Benjamin Bekhof. “We specialize in consulting, design, and construction of foundation elements consisting of both bored and driven pile systems. This means we are called in for a wide variety of projects, such as constructing foundations in the petrochemical and industrial sectors as well as in the rail and civil engineering sectors. The latter is thanks to our specialism in installing foundation piles in challenging locations.”

Terracon's machinery has expanded considerably in recent years, not least due to the acquisition. “We have no fewer than 14 foundation machines for the medium and heavy segments,” says Bekhof. “We serve the market at a very high quality level and are also certified for step 4 on the Safety Culture Ladder. At Terracon, we are committed to working with the project team and/or client to find the best possible foundation solution for the project in question. Not only to achieve the desired high quality, but also to minimize failure costs, execution time, and environmental nuisance.”
Bekhof still has plenty of ambitions, despite its broad portfolio. “Our investments are therefore not focused on expanding the portfolio, but primarily on making our machinery more sustainable. As a company, we also take our responsibility in this area seriously, so that we can pass on a livable planet to future generations.”
Terracon is right at home in Europoort. “We are currently working on various scaffolding projects at a large refinery in Europoort, where we are also making optimal use of Tubex piles. We are also working on the foundations for a large data center and, together with our ‘big sister’ Strukton Rail, we are continuing to explore the rail environment. In short, our customers benefit from the advantages of a large group combined with the decisiveness of an independent and broadly oriented player. That promises great things for the future,” concludes Bekhof.
