In early 2008, André de Meyer took over an ailing company. A well-considered, yet bold leap. Since then, MMB machines has been supplying quality concrete pumps, screed pumps, mortar pumps and construction machinery from A-brands such as Dynajet, Putzmeister and Probst. Furthermore, the company has been an exclusive dealer of concrete, mortar and industrial pumps from Putzmeister since 2018.
Over the past four years, MMB machinery has continued to grow to 29 employees and has increased its market share in Belgium to some 30%. "The target for the end of 2022 is 35%," says André De Meyer. Ambitious? Perhaps so. Driven? Definitely! The business model is catching on well and is the measure of the success formula. "We support partners in saving time, money and labor hours during their projects, thanks to providing sound customized advice, high-quality machines and outstanding service."

"With quality brands comes an A-level service and maintenance team," André believes. "You achieve that with well-trained personnel who have a good command of the latest techniques. In addition to the main office in Aalst (B), we also have a branch in Oosterhout (North Brabant), in order to provide optimal service to our Dutch customers."
In addition to their down-to-earth mentality and excellent service, MMB machinery is notoriously present with their extensive fleet of concrete pumps, screed pumps, mortar pumps and construction machinery (both purchase and rental). Thanks to the wide variety of spare parts in stock, deliveries can be made quickly. MMB machines also takes over used pumps, refurbishes them and puts them back on the market as a second-hand pump, or as a bridging machine until the new pump can be delivered.
MMB machines has an eye for the ecological aspect, and the latest ecological novelty is the Iontron: a hybrid boom pump from Putzmeister. "This can be driven to the job site on diesel and, by coupling with a 125-amp electric power cable, pump concrete completely electrically."
André visited the Putzmeister factory in Germany together with Richard Faber (Faber Betonpompen). Richard: "I get the question almost weekly from my customers whether we can pump concrete electrically. After the visit to the factory and the enthusiastic stories of users from the Scandinavian regions, I decided to purchase two Putzmeister Iontron concrete pumps. The benefits are piling up, sustainability demand is increasing, contractors are responding to it, and so we want to be able to offer it. The first pump will be delivered in early November, the second in early December. They will soon be in full swing. The world is changing, irreversibly if you ask me. With these pumps we are contributing to reduced emissions and a better world."
At the open house in June, MMB machines -in addition to the new Iontron concrete pump- also demonstrated the latest proprietary electronics and software. "It provides the necessary ease of use for the operator. For example, he can see what range he has, how to adjust his boom pump and how to visualize his range on the display of his radio-controlled controls. This allows him to work more efficiently and safely. Furthermore, MMB machinery also builds concrete pumps on crawler tracks, specially custom-built for customers specializing in pile foundation technology. We continue to meet market demand," André concludes.
