Large working area 

During the construction of the large-scale Fryslân Wind Farm project, InfraWatch once again demonstrated its extensive security expertise. "Commissioned by Visser & Smit Hanab, we provided camera surveillance during most of the project," director Klaas Algra looks back. "This included a number of locations where Visser & Smit Hanab carried out directional drilling for the purpose of laying the necessary 110kV high-voltage cables." These borings started near the Afsluitdijk and continued up to Oudehaske, the place where the wind farm's power grid is connected to the high-voltage grid of grid operator TenneT. With a total length of some 60 kilometers, this is the longest overland renewable energy connection in the Netherlands. "On behalf of InfraWatch, we followed that entire route with a hefty battery of surveillance cameras," Algra continued. "In addition, you came across our equipment within various material depots and on the work island specially created for this work south of the Afsluitdijk, where there was an extensive amount of materials, machinery and housing. Specifically, this was a very large working area within which we contributed to the success of this great project with an average of about fifteen solar-powered camera masts."
