Road work is stressful for local residents. For that reason, as many inspections and repairs as possible are carried out before the road section is paved or asphalted again. With the innovative inspection bus with satellite camera of Van de Kreeke Leidingtechniek, these inspections can be carried out even better. With this
the main sewers and house connections are inspected.
Van de Kreeke Leidingtechniek has over 20 years of experience in pipeline inspection. It uses camera inspection to inform its clients of the condition of underground pipes and pipe networks. "Until now, we then only inspected the main sewer," says Ed Goossens, Technical Sales Manager of Van de Kreeke Leidingtechniek. "With the new inspection van, we can also include house connections."
Van de Kreeke Leidingtechniek is reaping the benefits of its Belgian/Dutch roots here. "In Belgium, the inspection of house connections to the main sewer is mandatory. So we already have the knowledge and are a step ahead of the Netherlands. Moreover, the inspections are fast. A 25% inspection of the connections gives a good impression of the whole network."
The inspection van is highly efficient. The clean operating room has all the trappings of an office, complete with computers and printers. The wet room houses the tools for inspection, such as road barriers and cameras. New is the satellite camera, which allows inspectors to check from the main sewer whether house connections also meet the European standard NEN EN 13508-2.
Van de Kreeke Leidingtechniek sees the purchase of the bus as an investment in the future. "The additional inspection capabilities should start to ensure that we maintain our place in the top 3 for repairs. It does require a long-term vision from our clients. Often they stumble over the price. A little arithmetic, however, makes it clear that they will recoup the additional amount more than double within a few years."
