Evenco Engineering & Consultancy has made quite a name for itself in the piping world. Theo Everaers, director/owner of Evenco, founded the company eleven years ago and has an extensive network and a wide range of services.
Whenever pipelines need to be laid or relocated, Evenco can relieve its clients of their worries throughout the entire process. From (pre-)engineering and tendering to management and supervision. "This includes strength calculations and hydraulic calculations for pump buildings," Everaers explains. "In doing so, we are familiar with every type of pipeline. We design high and low pressure pipelines, steel, concrete and plastic pipelines."
An appealing project from the recent period is the construction of two pipelines and one duct for data connection under the Juliana Canal in Elsloo by means of horizontal directional drilling (HDD). "For this complex project, we made the preliminary design and participated in the construction team. Space was limited, the subsoil was unfavorable and there were sheet pile walls with grout anchors along the canal. The biggest challenge was the 5 m thick gravel layer, which had to be penetrated on two sides. To get through this, this layer was injected with grout."
Evenco provides support for large and small projects in various stages of realization. "We are a pragmatic organization," Everaers explains. "For us no large masses of paper, but clear explanations on a few A4s, easy to follow for all involved. In this way we remain accessible and approachable, even in complicated projects like the one in Elsloo."
