Platform on civil engineering, underground infrastructure, energy, construction equipment & construction machinery

Civil Engineering Project Manager

City Hall Maasdam | 32-36 hours | Hbo/Wo | Max. € 5,554.

Where will you be working?

You will join the Projects Civil team with 12 enthusiastic professionals working together on challenging projects in public space. Whether it concerns the design of new construction sites, the reconstruction of roads and sewers, or the redevelopment of neighborhoods and recreational areas ... no day is the same. It is precisely this versatility that makes your work surprisingly fun and dynamic.

Within the municipality we are starting an ambitious new program to accelerate housing construction, mobility and energy transition. We are working according to the principles of Integrated Project Management (IPM). As project leader, you are an important link. You work closely with colleagues in roles such as environment manager, technical manager and contract manager. Together, you ensure that every project runs smoothly and everyone is on the same course.

You interact regularly with managers, policymakers, administrators and external partners. You know better than anyone how to connect interests, maintain a clear overview and create support. From the first idea to the actual implementation: you make sure the project is rock solid. Does this sound like your next challenge? Then we want to get to know you!

What will you do?

You are involved in civil engineering projects from beginning to end and really make a difference. Think of nice switching between planning, designing, budgeting and working with all kinds of colleagues and partners. This is what it looks like:

  • You pull the entire project from the start: from drawing up smart project plans to (having) designs and drawings made. You keep an overview, determine the necessary budgets and ensure that tenders are organized properly and smoothly;
  • In execution, you are the conductor: you manage the project team, monitor planning, finances and quality as if it were your second nature, and always keep your finger on the pulse. Is something threatening to slip? You spot it in time and make adjustments. And of course you ensure clear communication and good participation with the environment;
  • You build and maintain a strong network: whether internal colleagues, external partners or other stakeholders - you know how to find everyone and keep them connected.

Who are you?

  • You have a completed college/university education;
  • You have several years of experience as a project manager within the spatial domain;
  • You are a businesslike, proactive and results-oriented professional and feel in your element on a wide range of different projects. You are communicatively strong, a born negotiator and a natural connector.

Why choose us?

Our organization thinks ahead and actively prepares for the future. We welcome colleagues who show initiative and dare to take responsibility. You get the space to show yourself and continue to develop yourself. Of course, we like to offer something in return. That is why you can count on attractive terms of employment:

  • A salary that is minimum € 3777.00 and maximum € 5554.00 (scale 10, HR21 Project Leader IV) gross per month for a 36-hour work week and the prospect of permanent employment after 1 year;
  • A pension with ABP with choices such as retiring earlier, varying the amount paid out or continuing to work part time;
  • Full travel reimbursement regardless of commuting distance of €0.23 per kilometer and a home/Internet allowance of €3.25 on the day(s) you are working from home;
  • An Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17.05% on top of your gross annual salary - this includes your vacation allowance and end-of-year bonus. You decide how to use this budget: have it paid out, buy extra leave days or invest in training;
  • We offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partly from home, so that work-life balance is maintained;
  • Through our Hoeksche Campus you can take all kinds of training and education courses that contribute to your personal and professional development;
  • 28 vacation days on a full-time basis and (partially paid) collective parental leave;
  • An enthusiastic staff association with a variety of activities.
